The best book for teaching colours!
Excellent book for teaching colours! I've seen a lot of colour books and this is the only one I would recommend. Too many of the other books show multiple other colours on the page when teaching one colour, (such as a person in a RED dress, but they have blue boots and yellow hair or the background is green and takes up lots of space on the page), or they choose silly things to represent a colour that a small child would not understand. This book is brilliant, each page focuses on one colour and it's really obvious as 95% of the images are made up of that colour (except the last page which combines black and white). The example choices are everyday objects you would expect to be pointing out to your toddler, and many are simple words that your child can start to learn to say themselves. My little girl is 21 months and in just a few days she has learnt to say blue, can identify objects that are blue, green and yellow, and has learnt the words bee, tomato, carrot and frog.I would absolutely recommend this book for children to learn their colours!
