Pretty good, considering
Bought this out of curiosity. No one with functioning tastebuds is going to mistake this for a properly brewed cup of coffee made with recently roasted and freshly ground beans, but for instant this is pretty not damned bad. A little pricey. Packaging would be handy for traveling or camping.

Awesome stuff!
I picked up a pack of Sudden medium roast vials (8) with the intent of using them when I needed a quick cup of coffee in the evening. The coffee brews up in a flash, just like the instructions say, and you can see a noticeable traces of oils coming off of the coffee as you mix it up. The coffee brews up with a nice aroma although I had a little trouble finding the exact profiles they mentioned in the packaging. For me the medium roast to be a bit darker than I'd normally by for drinking black, but am looking forward to picking up a pack of their lighter roast. I did find that the medium roast excelled in making iced coffee drinks (I'll not pay for Starbucks 'cold foam' drinks again) and as an addition to baked goods, (having freeze dried coffee is like having a secret baking flavor weapon). I especially enjoyed the little hand signed note in with my Sudden order, nice touch!Edit: I've ordered another batch of Sudden and received their light roast. The light roast is much more my speed for a 'black' cup of coffee. After many many cups of the medium roast it has become my go to coffee any time I make an addition of cream, or need to add coffee to another drink (Irish coffee, hot chocolate). This is both because it tastes fantastic, and because it is FAST. That being said it is a little expensive to buy in single serve packages. I've grown confident enough in this product to try Suddens larger packs to see how it works out measuring for myself and storing outside of their single/serve vials.

Delcious, Smooth, & Convenient!
I ordered the Medium Roast a while ago and forgot to write my review, but I recently found my last vial. Man, am i happy about that! All i can say is that i wish all instant coffee was as smooth and tasty as this. I like to evaluate all kinds of coffee drinks without adding anything to the drink, i have been pleasantly surprised by how tasty I find Sudden Coffee to be--especially since this isn't a pour over made with CC/Stumptown/insert artisan brand coffee . Most instant coffee I have had in the past requires a little bit of milk, creamer, or *gasp* sweetener (i'm looking at you starbucks). This is the first time that i feel comfortable comparing instant coffee to pour over, and i couldn't be happier with this purchase.I loved opening the SC package to find a whole bunch of vials--the science geek in me became super excited. For instant coffee, this is hands down the tastiest and smoothest coffee brand i have ever tried.I will be purchasing some of the light roast to give it a shot once it is in stock.Great job Sudden Coffee team--you nailed it!

Yup, that’s instant coffee...
This coffee was just ok. It tastes just like instant coffee. I do not see where this was anything special. The price, however, is outrageous!!! I would not bother buying these again for my next climb.

All about convenience!
I liked how convenient it was to take the tubes and add them to hot/cold water on the go! I think the taste is around same as most average coffee brands, but the convenience was great.

Better than expected!
Typically when I drink instant coffee I do it purely for the caffeine. Yet, with this coffee I taste the complexity of the chocolate chip cookie aroma paired with very fruity tasting notes! I ordered the medium roast and was a little bit off put by how dark it was (I assumed it was a dark roast), but I was very impressed because even though it was high in acidity it was much lower in bitterness than expected. Lastly, I noticed that I had no granules at the bottom of my cup which is a common issue in instant coffee.

Good as fresh brewed
I bought this as a gift for a coffee drinker friend after reading an article in the Chicago Tribune. She said this was really good coffee - stashed several of them in her purse for later, and then ordered more for herself. The price is about the same as Kuerig. I am thinking it will be easier to recycle than a Keurig too - the vials are glass, and they will be empty after use.

Something going on
Tried most of the other single serve coffees, started with via from Starbucks back a bit, understand if there is a batch issue, but this stuff is messed up, stronger than a Richard Pryor free-base, I used to have quad shots at Starbucks, and 12-15 servings of coffee daily, but this stuff is stronger than rocket fuel, not in a good way, something has to be wrong, nothing this strong or potent can be out there in the market place, it messed me up for 6 days until I realized has to be this stuff, it’s costly but still just tossed all that I had remaining, don’t want to gift this to inflict harm on anyone else,
