Works great
Very solid instrument at a reasonable price. First let me say RTFM!! I sense that a lot of the complainers didn't. Accuracy: I bought the 5% model and am very satisfied with the results it's giving. Unless you have a very stable and controlled measurement environment, the higher priced versions are unnecessary. Two minor issues: The probe appears to be very vulnerable to careless handling. Nature of the beast I suppose. Also, the meter has a fold-out stand. But since they chose to place the probe connection at the top edge, and the meter is lightweight, the stand is useless because the meter juts falls over. Bottom line, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again.

Really impressive price/performance
This is a very good instrument for the price point. I'm working on a passion project in spintronics. This meter is incredible for under $100.

Practical, easy-to-use gauss meter with useful reach and features
The meter is responsive and easy to use, with a clear display that’s simple to read at a glance. Controls are intuitive and don’t require much reference to the manual, which makes it easy to get up and running quickly. Functionality is solid. Measurements update smoothly, and the telescopic Hall sensor is genuinely useful for reaching tight, awkward, or recessed spots where a fixed probe would struggle. The size feels right for handheld use without being bulky, and it’s easy to carry around a bench, lab, or job site. Frequency handling has been consistent in my use, and features like data logging and alarms add real value rather than feeling like extras thrown in for marketing. Build quality feels appropriate for workshop, lab, or field use, and overall it offers good value for the money given the feature set.

Essential Tool for Magnetic Field Testing
The AEGTEST 8035 Gauss Meter is a handy gadget for anyone needing accurate magnetic field readings. Its telescopic probe and rotatable screen make it super simple to use one-handed, and the 5% accuracy means I can trust my readings every time. I love the data logging feature; it automatically records maximum values, which is useful for tracking changes over time. The rechargeable battery life is impressive, giving me up to 16 hours of uninterrupted testing. No more constant battery replacements! The alarm system is great too, alerting me with sound and visuals if I hit those predefined measurement thresholds. Best for engineers and hobbyists who deal with magnetic fields in their work or projects. The durability and compliance with industry standards suggest it'll hold up during demanding tasks. Plus, the QC test mode is a lifesaver for quick assessments. Overall, it's a reliable tool that's become an essential part of my toolkit. 🔍

Helps find interference
So the meter comes with a very rigid case and it helps protect it quite well. Tested it on a few magnets used for magnet fishing and it reads quite well. Pretty accurate. Used it around some telecommunication equipment and it worked great as well.

Works well, nice pocket meter
This is a small gauss meter, with a built-in probe that's retractable. Overall it's small enough to go in your pocket, and that makes it very portable compared to meters with separate sensors and cables. It does limit its usefulness in positioning, though, since the display and probe are attached, but for typical applications that's not an issue. If you need to read inside a motor, or at an odd angle then this might not be the meter for you. Seems accurate, and helps me grade inexpensive magnets - suppliers claimed n52, but they didn't even meet the specs for n35. Tested for accuracy with known good magnets, and it's fine - at least with 5%. I wouldn't use it for lab grade work, but it's perfect for most use.
