Two is the way to go.
I am going to preface this by saying that this will be if you have one or two. Only own one: If you only have one of these and you intend to just have it fill a room with music, then I think it's perfectly fine. For such a small form factor it is very clear sounding and filling sound. Now it is very apparent that it's not stereo sounding you know exactly where the music is coming from. My initial usage when I only had one, I found myself looking at the speaker when on calls, if that makes sense. It didn't feel the sound was around me to look at the camera. Owning Two: So, with my experience with only one I ordered another to get the party mode for true stereo sound. Now this is where this speaker shines. The sound is rich, and I don't even realize where the two speakers are. The set up was easy but you do have to go to the Bose website to find out how to do it because it's not in the printed material that the speakers come with. (We will come back to this) Another big positive is that you can put one of the speakers on USB audio and it will still do the Party Mode. Previous speakers wouldn't do this, and you had to be connected via Bluetooth to share. The pairing also remains. Even if you turn off the second speaker, when it comes back on it will automatically go into party mode. Overall, the quality and finish of these speakers are clean and professional. It looks like an almost $200 speaker and has the features as well. Now to the downsides. My biggest one is that there is no app support. So it means no patches or updates. Because of this like I said prior if you want to look up anything on it you have to go to the Bose Support site and search for the speaker. it does come with a charging USB but it's massive and is a USB-C 90* connection but it's a USB-A on the other end. Why not a USB-C to USB-C? I will add this, I used to use my Bose Sound Link Max and it just wasn't good for meetings and a small room. It had no USB audio. So if you want to use these for a home office or your work office, they are amazing. But maybe to much for an onsite office usage due to the amount of sound it pushes.

I'm very impressed and I ordered a second one
I bought this SoundLink Home Speaker to replace my original Bose SoundLink — the old brick-shaped one built like a tank. Mine was still working perfectly after 13 years, but it had originally been a gift from my ex-wife’s brother. When her cheaper Bluetooth speakers kept failing, it only seemed right to give the original Bose back to her. That set me on a hunt for a worthy replacement. I chose this model mainly because I loved the design. If you spend time on YouTube, you’ll see plenty of audiophile reviewers who love to tear down Bose products, but my own experience has always been the opposite. I also had the Bose TV speaker as my computer soundbar, and despite the rough online critiques, the actual customer reviews (and my experience) were five-star. That trend continues with this SoundLink. The build quality is exactly what I hoped for — solid, well-made, and clearly designed to last. It puts out more sound than you’d expect for its size, with excellent clarity and volume. I like it so much that I’m buying a second one for my home office setup. The portability is a huge advantage. Whether I’m cooking in the kitchen, cleaning the house, getting ready to go out, or watching the kids at soccer practice, I can take this speaker anywhere. And when I’m at home, I’m not limited to sound sitting at my computer desk — it adds value everywhere I go. Based on other reviews, pairing two of these creates a noticeably better stereo experience. As far as I’m concerned, two portable speakers that can follow me around are far more useful than a stationary soundbar. Even one is more than enough for most people, but I can already see the benefit of having a pair. Battery life is solid, Bluetooth connectivity has been simple and reliable, and overall performance has exceeded expectations. The look, the build, and the sound are all 10/10. Highly recommend. Five stars.

Great Sound - Solidly Built
Great item. Love the sound and it is very solid for its size. Easy to set up and connect, charges fast and has good battery life. Easy to take around and sound quality is really good for the size. A touch on the expensive side, but worth it.

Worth the $$!!
Best portable speaker I’ve ever bought! The sound is insanely good, especially the bass, and gets so loud that I usually keep the volume pretty low. Love the design and literally use this thing every day multiple times a day.

No appp connectivity
I'm not giving this little speaker 3 stars because I think it's a bad speaker, I'm not giving 3 stars out of build quality or sound or battery life. I'm giving 3 stars out of five because of the feeling I get when purchasing this speaker. When you buy a premium speaker like this, you like to feel the company is with you. That for years the speaker will be with you and the company will support you along the way. When I got this speaker, I opened the bose app and tried to add it. Nope nothing, it didn't even show up in the list of available devices. So I went to the website and it says not app compatible. I think...how will it get firmware updates and the website says *there will be no updates after release*. I just felt like the new shiny I just got is already end of life. Even the cheaper sounding flex gets app support, firmware updates and all the things you can do with an app. Same with the soundlink Max. But the more expensive than flex, supposedly premium SoundLink Home is end of life'd. It's a good speaker, good sound for me, good build quality, good battery life. But where is it going?

sound, quality, connectivity, they have it all.
What a difference these Bose speakers make in sound experience. Well worth the $. Great connectivity and quality, no plastic! I immediately dropped one from the top shelf I was setting it on with no consequences. I love these speakers. I got 2 for stereo sound and they immediately connect when turned on (once I did it manually) and sound great. they connect with my iPad and each other. I LOVE these speakers. I use them in a small yoga studio.
