I would classify myself as a “serious hobby welder”. I have 4 welding helmets and this one is my favorite. It’s comfortable and works flawlessly. It’s so easy to see through the un-darkened lens I sometimes forget it’s down and carry on working. It never darkens when it shouldn’t (like when I’m facing the sun). The “true color” aspect takes some getting used to but is quite nice and now I’m spoiled. I’m so used to everything being green and only seeing the arc and puddle that at first it feels like it’s not dark enough, but being able to see the rest of the work is huge. No more drawing lines! I probably keep it brighter than I should (maybe 9-10 for SMAW) but I can clearly see where I’m going which saves me a ton of prep time, and even saves clamping in some cases because I can just hold the piece where I want it. My only (small) complaint is that the ability to see beyond the puddle only seems to work in daylight. Once the sun starts setting it feels like using a normal hood, just not green. The arc is just too bright compared with the rest of the work (I might be able to see better if I made it darker - I should try that). I’ve burned probably 200-300 rods with this hood on and I couldn’t be happier. All stick welding - everything from 1/16” to 5/32”.. 6010, 6011, 7014, and 7018. No mig or tig though, and I have not used it for grinding or oxy-acetylene cutting or welding so I can’t comment on how well it works for those applications. Overall, I’d highly recommend this for anyone from “beginner” to “serious hobby welder”, or maybe “backup hood for pros”. I can’t honestly recommend it for professionals because I’m not a professional and I simply don’t know how well it would hold up under extreme use. While it’s certainly not cheap feeling, it’s still plastic and maybe not heavy-duty enough. I’ve dropped it a few times and it’s gotten a little wet, but I’m also not wedging myself under a 24” pipe in a ditch full of water and welding overhead all day.

great helmet! Have had it for 7-8 months so far and still works just like it did out of the box! Love this helmet more than any other that I have tried.

Pros: Optical clarity is excellent. The tint when not welding isn't too dark. Headgear is comfortable. Fan and light are very nice and work well. Cons: outer lens lacks a gasket, so the weld smoke gets in behind it and requires disassembly to clean. Fan/light battery could be bigger. Knobs on the outside are too easy to turn, taking the helmet in and out of my bag always moves them. You almost have to max out the tightness off the headgear swivels to keep the helmet from sagging down when flipped up. The battery that comes in the helmet is not rechargeable.

This will be a very good helmet Have not had a chance to use it yet but I would l ike to make the headband tighter though I will look at that when I get a chance also how long the fan and light will run on a single charge Screen is very good size think I can see well enough as to not fall while wearing it

This is a home owners quality hood not something you wanna have on your head all day the fan is great keeps the smoke out ya face good but the hood is heavy af made my neck sore and the head gear is junk also the cover lenses are special for this hood so you can't just run to the tool crib for a lens which is inconvenient if you only weld at home this would be cool to have but welding for a living this is not what you want

I am a hobby welder and the only weld about once every other month. I have had this helmet since 2020 and it still works. I need a new battery in it almost ever time I use it because I let it sit so much. Good for a hobby hood.

I especially ordered this for the True Colour and big big screen, but it was not true colour. Otherwise it was comfortable The shade numbers on the dial adjuster are difficult to read, and there's no obvious way to switch between the Hi/Lo shading.

Fantastic welding helmet! I don't write many reviews so here we go! Lol I love my new YESWELDER PRO helmet, I'm an oilfield engineer but have been a fabricator for over 20 years. I've used several different helmets thru the years, I took my new helmet to my cousins machine shop and even he was blown away. He intends to order a few for his shop. Great control, super fast darkening (no flash) and the fan and light is great for keeping the moisture off your lens. I highly recommend this helmet for anyone welding or using a plasma cutter. You won't regret it!
