Size:8.65 Oz Ghee or Ghrita is an edible and medicinal product obtained from Indigenous cow’s milk. We at Chackra have tried to revive those age old traditions and ancient knowledge. In this wake, we have introduced FA2M Pure Cow’s Ghee. The procedure requires to convert this fresh A2 full cream milk into curd. Following our initiative, we only use traditional methods to prepare curd for this first stage. The fresh A2 milk is infused with small amounts of tamarind to obtain curd overnight. Further, we use a vedic bilona (traditional wooden churner) to extract the butter from the curd. At FA2M we ensure to prepare the ghee on a full moon day, before the moon reaches its fullness. Ancient scriptures mention that during this period of the full moon day, the moonlight increases the quality of all things it falls upon. Due to this, we at FA2M prepare Ghee on this occasion under a full moon cooking it slowly in an iron pot fired from an oven using cow dung cakes as fuel. Cow dung cakes are ideal for extracting ghee because they provide the optimum amount of heat. Ghee prepared using this method balances vata, pitta and kapha in human body to prevent or eradicate any disease. The ghee extracted from this method is them packed in sterilized glass bottles. This maintains the purity and the shelf life of FA2M Pure Ghee Cow's ghee stimulates the digestive system, alkalizes the body, improves eye health and is even known to treat many severe medical conditions. According to Ayurveda, cow’s ghee builds good cholesterol, which makes it suitable for cardiac contingent people. FA2M Cow’s Ghee is shelf stable and can be stored for years at room temperatures. Benefits of Using FA2M Pure Ghee Has high smoke point so it doesn’t break down in harmful free radicals on deep frying. Long shelf life if properly maintained and stored Apt for people with dairy intolerance and Casein

Delicious, Excellent effect, Highly recommended, Made Only on Full Moon Days!
The aroma, flavor, and texture of this ghee are all excellent. The batch I received has a “homemade” feel and look to it. It’s somewhat more golden/brownish than the usual bright yellow ghee and the flavor is richer. I find it delicious. I use it in warm milk as an Ayurveda health promoter (Rasayana). On food it is also great. Should mention its granularity, which I’ve heard is a sign of pure, high quality ghee. I will certainly purchase this ghee again, I’ve recommended it to friends and highly recommend. Here's what else I like about this ghee:Very attractive to me are the many things that are done to enrich the subtle quality of this ghee, which could very well impact its effectiveness and why I like it. According to shastras, ghee is an offering to Devatas and even Devatas in human body. Thus, purity means alot to me and also anything that would make it a better offering to Devatas. I’ll list a few, which I learned about this ghee since I asked many questions before and after purchase. From what I could learn this ghee is really made according to ancient principles with hardly any concession to modern times.1. Cows are only Gir/Indian with no contribution from non-Indian cows2. Cows are given feed grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers using only traditional natural fertilizers like gobar, gomutra, etc. . They are never fed cotton seed oil cake, which has the big possibility of being GMO and also contains toxic gossypol.3. Even the groundnut or coconut oil cake that is fed to the cows is produced using a bull powered grinder.4. The cows are fed many natural supplements to keep them healthy.5. The ghee is made from churned curd using a wooden “bilona” with it’s bidirectional process in a clay pot almost always by hand by the staff. If not enough staff then a wood bilona attached to bidirectional churning machine. But this is minority of time6. AND GET THIS: Although the curd is churned and produces the butter on a daily or semi-daily basis, the ghee is made from the butter only ON FULL MOON DAYS over a slow burning cow dung (gobar) fire in an iron pot.7. Before making the ghee on the Poornima Shiva and Vishnu poojas are performed with Ganapathy Homam.8. Go Puja for the cows twice a year.9. Bhajans are played in the area where the cows roam and while milking and feeding. As far a ghee itself is concerned I have nothing to dislike and look forward to seeing what effect it has as I continue to use it over time.

Disappointing
Dissatisfied. Have had other brands of desi cow ghee. This isn’t anywhere close in taste, fragrance or texture.
