Golf 3D Swing Analyzer

After the firmware update for the new version Zepp 2, I could not connect to my android device, The old version worked and I was satisfied with the information it provided.

When you realize that this product is not trying to be a wearable Trackman but is actually a very helpful, easy to use swing training device then you actually have something of real value. I have only been using it for about two weeks so I don't know about durability yet but so far it's excellent.It measures very important variables that will help take you to a better swing. Measuring swing speed helps you understand what distance you should expect (the app doesn't bother to predict that since it doesn't know what kind of contact you made) and you can instantly see the effect of changing your intent/effort/technique on speed. Measuring club and especially hand plane helps you to train a great swing path and that is more than half way to a great shot!! What I've found extremely helpful is that the App/device has me focusing on making as perfect a hand path as I can: Inside, up and in on the back swing and then retrace that path to impact with the hands leading the club head. Since I use a strong grip and a simple hinged release, if my hand path is good in relation to my target, I get very good, predictable results.The other great variable measured is Tempo. Being able to know this with ease is probably worth the price of admission. Backswing in degrees is also great; mine is purposely short so I moved the goal way down from the suggested 270 degrees. I haven't tried the measurement of hip rotation yet but that's next. The App takes all the measurements and give your swing a grade and it uses colors to let you know you're going well (green), are getting close (yellow) and need to fix something (red). Smart! The online help and videos related to each variable and well produced and too the point.Overall, a very cool product. Would love to see them put another sensor on the back of the club face (maybe just for irons) so you'd know relationship of path to face because that's the Holy Grail of ball flight!! Well done!

I really like this product. I only give it 4 stars because I am a hard grader! Bottom line: I am not a great golfer, but after using this for 1000+ swings, I cannot imagine being at the driving range without this device. My swing plane has improved and I love the instant feedback. I should warn you that I am also taking lessons, and look at the APP during the lesson, but just for feedback. The thing I really like about this is that when I am alone at the driving range, I look at every shot to see what I am doing. (I think most people, including me, would go to the range and rifle out ball after ball until finished without much thought). Looking at the ZEPP display after each swing slows me down a bit and makes me think. Is this thing 100% perfect, No, but it has been a great tool for me. you could argue that each measurement is not 100% accurate, but I am looking at relative measurements, and this APP does a great job. I have learned a lot about my swing using this device. My goal is to develop a consistent swing, and I find the TEMPO measure useful. The device gives you a score on each swing, but these scoring numbers are based on your swing goals in the APP; after swinging , you may want to adjust your swing goals. The APP shows you every swing and how your swing is improving. I wish the APP would show me my progress on each club as a summary, maybe this could be in a future release. I do get feedback from ZEPP every week which is useful. I am still on a journey with my swing and tempo and not near my goal. I have read other reviews on the accuracy of swing speeds, but I can tell you that my swing swing speed has improved with more practice. Once you understand what the APP is doing, it will help. What a great piece if technology! Again I repeat: I cannot imagine being at the driving range without this device! Go ZEPP! I am sure you can make even more improvements; I have learned so much, any improvements with the APP itself including a statistical analysis would be much appreciated. Thanks.PS: the attachment to the glove is easy and my Bluetooth connection has been good. I have lost the Bluetooth connection just a few times, but just do a reset, no big deal at all. Sometimes my violent swinging has loosened my glove physical connection, but no big deal, reseting is easy. The physical setup is easy and easy to correct if it is needed to be changed. Go ZEPP!

I was hugely disappointed with this product for several reasons.First, I am an avid golfer. I play 3-5 times per week and take weekly lessons from a local PGA golf pro.After reading the reviews I was excited to try out my new Zepp Golf 3D Swing Analyzer. My excitement quickly turned to deep unhappiness and disappointment.First. The app and the device were very easy to set up and to configure. That is where the positives on this product end.This product is only accurate and good for counting your swings (when it does that properly). The graphics it supplies are cool to look at but really useless in analyzing your swing or understanding or improving your game.I found that it accurately recorded about every other swing. I put the device away and took it along with another device I own (approx. $200) to my lesson and to show my teaching pro. The Zepp device is consistently inconsistent compared both my pros trackman (expected) and my other training aid. I can easily deal and understand that it would be off in the speed, but the real disappointment is that when both of the other devices registered the same swing speed over and over again (within 2-3 mph) the Zepp device was all over the place. Ranging from 20 mph variance. I would expect that even if the device registers a slower or faster swing speed it would be consistent with a consistent swing. It is not.My guess is that most buyers of this device will use it once or twice and then never touch it again.I would highly recommend that you save your money with this device unless you want something that will occasionally count your swings.
