Magnificent Molas: The Art of the Kuna Indians

This is just an incredible book. If you have ever been to the San Blas Islands (just off the Atlantic coast of Panama), you will certainly want this book. I was there in 2002 during a trip to the Panama Canal and the book is such a treasure. I'm so glad I found it. The pictures are wonderful. This is a MUST HAVE book for the textile person on your Christmas list.

My wife is a fiber artist and I am the webmaster of her site. We own nearly 4.000 books and we have gladly added Magnificent Molas by Michel Perrin to our collection. It is difficult to imagine that anyone could do better than Perrin. His Magnificent Molas is a remarkable book in every sense: illustrations, text, layout and printing are all of highest level and come together in a well documented and passionate praise of the magnificent textile art of the kuna indians and their culture. Das wohl schönste Buch über Molas neben "The Art of being Kuna", der Universität von Los Angeles. Ein Muss für jeden Molasammler!!! In der Vergangenheit war es leider häufig vergriffen. Wunderschöne ganzseitige Fotos alter und/oder typischer Molas werden fachkundig ergänzt durch Informationen über die Motive.
