Star Wars: The Force Awakens Deluxe Adult Captain Phasma Costume

5/5 stars for a cool, quick, and easy costume of the new Captain Phasma character from the new Star Wars movie coming out soon! Looks great and it's exactly what I expected for my Halloween costume! This would also work great for wearing at the movie premiere.Buyers, be weary of:- Size (height - XL size max height is 5'10" female - guys, you should be 5'9" or 5'8" for the XL size so it's comfortable. Short people can go to for the Standard size.)- Typical Halloween costume quality- weaker but ok-ish Velco- wrinkles- Price (if over $59 from different sellers. Retail price is $50-55.)Detailed review below -[Costume]Polyester foam jumpsuit with feet/boot parts sewn on as well, which is a surprise because they looked like separate foam pieces in the picture. It includes the cape (attached via velco), strong velco belt, and a 2 piece thin plastic helmet held together by velco. Not included is the matching gloves, which I recommend buying. Just wear regular shoes with the costume as the foam boot covers it.Yes, it wrinkles. Just like any other costume stuffed in a bag. Put it on a hanger and hang it up in the bathroom while you take a hot shower, that should take all of the wrinkles out quickly.[Quality]First of all - this is costume is HALLOWEEN COSTUME quality. NOT professional cosplay quality. I'm not sure what the other reviewers expected, Halloween costumes are expected to be made out of cheap fabrics and be low quality in general. (100% Poly materials) What you're paying for is a nice Star Wars/Captain Phasma brand names at the $50 retail price. I suggest waiting until they're being sold from Amazon directly (Amazon LLC) for reliable quality and customer service. (I got a goodwill partial refund after I emailed them saying the price dropped within a week of my purchase!)Anyways, the quality is fine and what I expected. The picture is pretty much true to real life. Not amazing, but the print details on the jumpsuit are nice and give a cool effect for the armor without actually being armor. (A bit hot to wear if it's not chilly outside.) Velco on the costume and cloth pieces is ok - not the best but it gets the job done. You'll probably need help from someone else to stick the back jumpsuit velco pieces together but it's not even necessary with the cape covering the back opening anyways. Worst case with the velco is that you might have to grab some safety pins to keep it together which isn't a big deal.The helmet is thin and cheaply made with a sloppy airbrush paint job but it works for Halloween activities and it completes the look. (The velco on the helmet is fine and sticks together.) Yes, it smells like plastic.... because, surprise, it's made of cheap plastic. My main complaint is that the helmet isn't big enough to accommodate frames for your glasses... but I wasn't planning to wear it all night either anyways.Also, some parts of the costume are transparent-ish, especially in the torso area that's not covered by foam, so make sure you're wearing some solid clothes underneath.[Size]This costume runs small or is intended as a Women's costume. It's a height issue, not width - BEWARE IF YOU ARE TALL. My guess is since Captain Phasma is a woman, this costume was sized on an average women's body which is typically 5'7" ish.I got the Extra Large size after previous warnings from reviewers, and as a 5'10" woman I JUST had enough length in fabric from the tops of my shoulders to my crotch area so I fit in it. If I was an inch taller (or was a male - slight crotch snugness would be an issue there) this costume would be too short. So don't even bother looking at this costume if you are 6 feet+ tall. If you're on the shorter end of the spectrum, however, go ahead and get the Regular/Standard size.

So, phasma is a female, but the costume is definitely male. So, it will fit like a man's costume. Nothing sexy here, just kind of bad@$$. Helmet is split in two pieces and fits together with strong velcro. You can see through the eyes but don't expect a wide peripheral. It's manageable and not poor quality. The costume itself is warm, but a well constructed jumpsuit. The costume photographs fantastic and paired perfectly with my son's kylo costume. Comicon was great and the suit kept the rain out Amma held its shape beautifully. It velcros in the back, but the cape fully covers it.

I like wearing costumes and this is by far the best value I have ever found.I’m 6’5, so of I had to alter the costume to make it longer, but it is a really good looking costume overall. Even better if you are average in height.The helmet is made out of cheap plastic, but it is full face and looks way better than I would have ever expected. The only downside of it is that it came packaged way too tightly, so the back of it broke. It was still wearable and looked good, but breaking the mask while unwrapping it really gave me a bad first impression of the costume.The suit is a one piece and has thin foam pieces as the armor, but the way the print of the fabric is made makes this costume look good in person and even better in pictures.Be aware it has no gloves; threw in some tactical gloves from another costume I have, and the end result really surprised me.

The costume is fine, but the seller did not ship the helmet

I don't know how to rate this costume. The one I received was damaged. It appeared to have been stored all summer in a hot shed or something, it was almost like it was melted together, and the whole thing was just... crunchy. It also came out very wrinkled, and I don't dare iron this costume material.So obviously I can't wear the one I received. But as a costume in general, it was ok-but-not-great. It didn't capture the shiny nature of Captain Phasma's suit. Someone made the comment that the size "standard" was cut to fit a six foot tall man. As a 5'10" woman, I can confirm that is not correct. It was a little too short on me, not to the point of being unwearable, but I would guess it was designed for someone around 5'8". According to the package, they do make a size Small and XS below the "Standard," so you might look for those additional sizes if you are not on the taller side.

It is true to its size. The only problem i had was that Im not tall enough for the suit. it arrived before the time expected. I inspected the suit and it came in perfect condition. The only concern I had was that the package looked like it was opened before it was delivered, its original tape was broken and taped over. But nothing missing, i guess ups was curious. Lol But everything's great. Will write an update after halloween.

This is a GREAT costume for the price. It fit perfectly although a little tight in the crotch, looks awesome. And compared to some less detailed costumes I've worn over the years, the price and all it includes were great. Only problem I had was the foam squares inside the mask used to keep it off your face came off very easily.

I was mostly pleased with the product when it arrived! The fit was true to description and it looks great overall. However, the helmet is missing and there is a large yellow stain on the inside left shoulder. Was this worn before??
