A Powerful Bike; Handles Hills Well
The bike is powerful enough to go anywhere around town, particularly up hills. It is very well made mechanically, a little less so electrically. My biggest disappointment was that it only ran for about a month before breaking down. BPM does not have traditional warranty support (i.e., replace or repair a product that fails). They instead will give technical advice over the phone and expect you to do the work. The technical rep., Dan, was quite helpful, but I'm afraid I find this policy inadequate. To their credit, after several months of trying to fix the thing myself, BPM finally sent me a new controller module, free of charge, and replacing it (myself) solved the problem. The bike has been working now for a couple of months, and hopefully it will remain problem free for a while. (In fairness to BPM I will also point out that after I suggested it, they agreed to pay for repairs at a local shop of my choice but that became unnecessary).

Lots of power, awesome offroading and COMFORTABLE... barely still a bike.
I bought this directly from the seller, but when it came in today I decided to review it here cause they are losing a TON of great sales for lack of reviews. The giant box barely fit in my van, but I took it down to the Reno Bike Project to build it. Thank goodness. It was well packaged, but it needed a LOT of tightening things here and there to get everything solid. I live in a place with LOTS of thorns so we added slime to the tires, optimized the brakes and got it working. (I will be buying a tire liner and reinstalling before flats fill my life with hate...)The throttle/pedal assist is a bit odd. You can't do both. It's either/or, but the button switch is very easy at thumb level.I took it for a couple miles of boondocking tonight. It handled crazy rocks I wouldn't have even tried to ride over in the past like a champ and barely noticed deep sand and tiny gravel which would have left me walking my previous bikes. The non-power mode is challenging though. The gearing is very high. The lowest gear is about what my previous bikes was at halfway so while it can easily pedal up to 20 mph, it's not nearly as friendly for un-powered up-hill pedaling. I can make it up a 40 degree hill without power, but ooof... not easy. With power though: On full power this thing flies up hills. The current speed limiter is set at 15mph, but I just read how to kick that higher using the manual posted @ https://www.bpmimports.com/bike-manuals/ (US Legal limit for ebike is 20mph... I'll probably keep my bike legal, but I REALLY like that I have the choice...).At one point in today's ride I hit a hill that was easily 45 degrees from left to right. I didn't feel that I could pedal without grounding the pedal into the dirt (let alone the fear I felt with shifting weight slipping me off the road). I kicked the power up to full and hit the throttle... It yanked me up the hill so fast I honestly wondered if it might flip. That first couple seconds can feel like the bike wants to take off without me. I LOVE IT!Oh yeah. The bicycle seat is crazy comfortable...

Nice Alternative Transportation...!
Beefy, Eye Catching, Utilitary, Efficient, Smooth, Versatile Affordable…(update) - after putting over 200 miles within my first two weeks of having it; I am thus well pleased. Gotta get one for tha wife. Also swap out the stock seat and get an oversized cruiser seat (schwinn) you'll appreciate it even more. Want a bit more speed and efficiency. Swap out the knobby tires for slick/fat/Street - road tires and get a 20Ah battery...
