Great adapters, but note safety precautions
These adapters are good for what it is, converting GU24 sockets to E26 sockets.Reasons to buy these:- You will save money! GU24 bulbs are very expensive compare to the common standard E26 bulbs. They average from around $5-10/each. An LED version of them can cost from $15 and up!- You will save time! GU24 bulbs are not as widely available as E26 bulbs. Bulbs are vastly available in not only local home improvement stores, but most large chain grocery and convenient stores will have them. However, The GU24 bulbs are rarely found elsewhere but home improvement stores or electrical supply stores only.- You are not restricted to the limited bulb options available. GU24 sockets are becoming increasingly common for ceiling fan lighting because the bulbs that fit into them are usually 13W CFL bulbs. They are created mainly for safety reasons (as I will explain below), but also to meet new energy usage standards. E26 have a lot more options in terms of type (incandescent/LED), brightness (60W/100W/150W equivalent), and colors. You can even use expensive remote controllable bulbs like Philips Hue.The reason I gave it 4* instead of 5* is because:- They don't twist-lock to the GU24 base as securely as I would like. Meaning, it is very easy to turn and loosen them, especially when you are changing a bulb because when you remove a bulb, the turn direction (counter-clockwise) is the same as unlocking this adapter off the GU24 base. If you don't want the adapter to come off with the bulb, make sure to hold on to the adapter while removing the bulb.- The white outer part is plastic. If you live in California, these adapters are NOT allowed due to them not meeting local safety electrical/fire codes. One of the reasons why these are discouraged for use is because if an incandescent bulb is used, the amount of heat produced has the potential to cause fire, especially if installed in an enclosed environment. The real problem is that the socket adapter materials are not rated to withstand or subdue flames in case of accidents (at least I do not see any UL listing on these adapters that would qualify them), thus are not permitted under strict codes in CA. I'm not sure about the codes in other states, so a suggestion is to check first before installing them.Suggestions:If you are planning to use incandescent bulbs and the adapter is installed in an environment, you're probably okay. However, if you are installing them in an enclosed environment, I highly suggest only using LED E26 type bulbs only, because:1. They produce very little heat. In fact, it's usually a little warm to the touch. This will ensure more safety.2. They use even less power than CFL to produce an equivalent amount of brightness, thus saving you more money (LED bulbs are expensive too, but not as expensive as the GU24 bulbs, and you can often find good deals and sales from various stores)

YES !! It Works Great
The bathroom was remodeled a year ago & the contractor put in a light fixture that took the lousy GU24 bulbs. They were supposed to last 9 years, but only lasted 13 months. No problem I thought, I'll just replace the bulb. Then I found out about the GU24 light socket. A trip to my local big box mega store did not have any GU 24 bulbs, so on to my local big box home improvement store/website. The in store bulbs were $8 each, or I could order a different brand for delivery to the store for $4 each. I needed 2 (and probably two more coming up), so I ordered them. Ten days later they arrived. I picked them up & found they didn't fit (too big for the light fixture). So back to the store to return them.I should have tried Amazon first. Rather than the bulbs, I got a 5 pack of these adaptors. They work great ! Now I can use regular compact fluorescent bulbs. My second option would have been to replace the light fixture.Judging from other internet comments, the problem with these GU24 bulbs is the same, only lasts about a year & hard to find replacements & expensive ($8) each). If you're reading this, you probably have the same issues. They should outlaw these GU24 bulbs / fixtures.Try these sockets as a solution to the GU24 problem. I'm glad I did. Works great !! Thanks Amazon (fast shipping, too).

5-Pack GU24 to E26 Adapters
I purchased a few outdoor light fixtures that included a florescent bulb. Unfortunately, the bulb type was of the GU24 base and not the standard E26 type of bulb. The reason I say unfortunately is that you can find a wider range of bulb to fit the standard base than you can the GU24 base and the bulbs cost less when they have a standard base. So, I ordered these to try. Here is what I found: 1. These fit perfectly into the GU24 socket and provide a perfect fit to a E26 bulb. 2. The adapter fits securely enough that you can screw in a regular bulb and unscrew a regular bulb without the adapter coming out. 3. The only issue that I have is that the adapters add some extra length to the bulb that I had not planned on. This puts the bulb lower down in the fixture rather than being centered where it was before. All in all they work well, they just add about 1/2 to the length of the bulb so ensure that your light fixture will not have a problem with the additional length.

Wonderful Product using Houshold Led light bulb E26 on a GU24 outled
E26 Led light bulbs are general available in more location, and usually are a lot less expensive that GU24 light bulbs. After installation of the adapter it allows me to have more selection and choice of led light bulb to buy from. The only thing that a potential buyer would need to play attention to; is that it adds a little length to the light bulb. Therefore please make sure the over all height would fix into the light fixture housing without exposing outside. So please measure the E26 light bulb and add ~1 inch to it as the finally height.

Worked to convert some of my outdoor lamps from compact florescent bulbs to LED bulbs.
I was repainting and cleaning up my outdoor lights. When we built our house, the code required all outdoor lamps to use florescent bulbs. So, we had 14 of them. Using these adpapers to replace the florescent ballasts I have converted half of these lights to LED bulbs. Better light and less electricity used.In the rest of the lamps, I will convert as the bulbs fail.

[There were/are only 5, despite the display-dozen. ] ...
[There were/are only 5, despite the display-dozen.] The adapters SEEM well made, but not enough time using them has provided me with limited info. I bought them for an outside wall "porch" fixture, with the intention of avoiding buying rather expensive hard-to-find GU24 bulbs. My intention is to use compact florescent lamps (CFL; 10 or 13 watts) in lieu of the GU24 lamps. These adapters serve the purpose I've described, and the adapter+CFL fit into the fixture despite being somewhat lengthier than the former gu24 bulb. I have this caveat: I would advise against using ANY incandescent bulb in the adapter (even tho the bulb will fit). Doing so could be CONVENIENT, but the additional heat and cost (and likely risk) isnot worth it -- in my opinion.
