Dual water sensors, great range, easy setup
Great Cyber Monday deal for the 5 sensor array! App works great, was easy to connect to my WiFi network and add the 5 sensors. The water sensor reception range is remarkable, especially since they are on the floor and have large metal equipment in the signal path (washing machine, hotwater tank and a generator next to it). And the dual sensors on each sensor is really cool, so if say a toilet valve starts to drip it will detect that on the topside sensor if sensor is placed under the valve, while flooding water will trigger the bottom sensor. Got the kit just in time for an insurance inspection. My old "not so safe/easy to defeat" SimpliSafe security system had water sensors, caught a leak under kitchen sink from in-sink erator that rusted out. But no longer use it, so this Govee system is great for peace of mind.

Great investment!
I purchased the GoveeLife Upgraded Smart Water Leak Detector, and I’m honestly shocked at how much peace of mind these little devices give me. **Setup & Connectivity:** Setup was fast and painless. The detectors connected to WiFi immediately, and linking them to the Govee app took less than five minutes. I love that you get **SMS, email, and app push notifications**—no more relying on just a beep you might not hear. **Range:** The 1804ft long-range claim sounded exaggerated, but so far it’s working flawlessly. I have one in the basement, one in the kitchen under the sink, and one near the water heater in the garage. All stay connected without any drops. **Sensitivity:** They are *very* sensitive to moisture. A tiny splash during setup triggered the alarm instantly. Honestly, that’s exactly what I want—no delays when it matters. **Alarm & Notifications:** The built-in sound alarm is loud enough to hear across the house, but the real game-changer is the phone alerts. If we’re out of the house, we still know immediately if something’s wrong. This is huge for preventing major damage. **Battery Life:** I obviously haven’t tested the full 5-year battery claim, but the battery level shows clearly in the app. If it even lasts half that long, I’ll be thrilled. **Durability & Design:** Small, sleek, and easy to tuck away. They feel solid, and the design allows water to touch the sensors from multiple angles, which is smart. **Value:** At this price, it is absolutely worth it. Considering the cost of water damage repairs, this is a no-brainer investment. **Verdict:** If you want a reliable, smart, long-range leak detection system, this GoveeLife set is outstanding. Strong alerts, great app integration, super easy setup, and peace of mind 24/7. Highly recommended for any home.

Great product and support
Works great! My only disappointment is that the temps ensure will not send a text to my phone. I will however get a low temp warning on the app, as well as an email. That's ok, but I w I understand prefer a text. Easy to set up, and support is quick and easy.

Great
I have these in various locations in the house. They are easy to setup and pair. They work great. I test them on the 1st of each month. Man are they loud and the email/text notifications are fantastic. I had 1 sensor battry die in a matter of a week. Contacted Govee thru the app and they sent me a whole new system, sensors and a gateway// NOW THAT IS CS. WAY TO GO GOVEE

Peace of mind
I haven't had a leak so I can't comment on detection ability. However, the item is very easy to set up, the app is very user friendly. I have other Govee items and am very happy with their quality, so I expect the same from this unit. Gives me great peace of mind to be notified of a leak, especially if I am not at home.

Works great with Alexa
Must have! Works tremendous. Integrates with Alexa so that Alexa can announce on all speaker that there is a water leak and where. Also sends texts and emails. Good loud alarm too.

Remarkably useful and economical remedy for the problem of bad plumbing in apartment building
I live in a wonderfully historic apartment complex. It was built in 1937, and was solidly constructed at a time that labor was cheap but money was scarce. 50 years ago, the owners converted two buildings to condos, upgrading the heating plant, the wiring, and the plumbing. But of course they couldn't rebuild the entire complex, so there were compromises and shortcuts. Now we're approaching the 90th anniversary, we are seeing the results of those compromises, some maintenance mistakes, and simply the passage of time. Water! We have leaks from the roofs, where overhanging trees, and slightly incorrect roof slopes, and doubtful gutter designs sometimes cause backups which eventually cause water damage to units. And we have plumbing which wasn't perfectly installed in the first place, combined with 50 years of hard use, causes pinhole leaks that are amazingly hard to track down. And the brickwork develops cracks and pits, allowing slow seepage, especially where an old repair used improper materials. Every few months we're faced with a $20,000 repair bill for water damage to a unit - big money for a complex with only 50 units. What to do? I searched Amazon for "water sensors" and such like, and stumbled upon Govee. I convinced the condo board to let me experiment with Govee's products, and everything keeps working out better than I expected. Obviously, a water sensor on the floor doesn't PREVENT leaks, nor does it FIX them. But from our experience, the difference between a $2000 repair and a $40,000 repair is whether the leak started in an unoccupied unit where it was left to pool for a month or two before the problem became evident to a neighbor. Almost all of our serious problems occur in the 10% of all units which are unoccupied - not those with people who come and go every day. For $100 and two hours of setup time, we've found Govee's "Smart Water Leak Detector" allows us to catch problems within a few hours. Combine a requirement to allow the condo association to install the sensors, with a requirement to have a local contact with a key, and we're hoping to cut our water damage losses by about half. So far, the only problem we've found with Govee's systems is the generally laborious setup. There's just a lot of clicking and filling in blanks and reading before the system is fully functional. But once it is, we haven't run into any unexpected gaps or failures. Basically, to make the system work, you need Wifi, an electrical outlet, and a phone on which to install their app. You place individual "pucks" on the floor of strategically chosen rooms (bathrooms and kitchens, mainly). Then you plug the base unit into a power outlet and set it up on the wifi system. Whenever one of the pucks discovers it's sitting in enough water to short out the metal prongs it sits upon, the puck notifies the base unit, which then sends out email and text messages to notify whoever was put on the contact list. And maybe every five years, each puck demand fresh AA batteries. Cost: about $10 per puck, $10 for each base unit, and NO monthly charges at all. Plus the time and attention needed to setup the system, and to check once in a while that some fool hasn't picked up the sensor from the floor and put it on a shelf. (That happens more often than you'd think.) One additional requirement is somebody - either volunteers or office staff - to contact unit owners, label and set up sensors, and then make sure at least one responsible person is monitoring the notifications. If you don't have volunteers, the cost of assigning responsibility to office staff might be substantial. I asked the management company for their recommendation - they claim they manage 80 condo complexes - and it turned out they had never heard of such a system. If you're dealing with regular water problems leading to substantial losses, Govee seems like a godsend.

Easy to setup. Loud alarm when in contact with water and immediate app notifications. Took away my stress to monitor my basement constantly when I'm out on vacation.

These have alerted me a couple times due to a leaking washing machine. Easy to install and the lorawan band means the sensors can be quite far from the hub with no signal loss or interference. The hub connects to your router via wifi. Check with your home insurance. Putting these in saved me several hundred dollars in premiums annually.

Great product- very easy to set up, did a test and works well. Can only give 4 stars at this point since I only recently bought it and time will tell how it performs/lasts.... otherwise would give 5.
