Very well made tough long lasting knife and super compact
Bought this two years ago and it stood the test of time and i loved it. I have to buy another one because after 2 years and all my travelling i FINALLY lost it NEAR my home at the gym i go to...i can't believe it...its unbelievable but i highly recommend this knife and if you can find the keepers concealment kydex belt clip then you have a nice concealed protection device that can even be clipped on basketball shorts and will be secure and stay on your person even while running or working out! definitely a good knife to have for safety and for pocket knife things that you might need like opening mail and such

Maybe worth $40
Very poor execution of a great design. It came covered in black stuff and the sheath leaves black marks on the blade every time you take it out or put it in. It looks as if a 5 year old put the edge on with a handheld angle grinder (extremely asymmetrical and dull). It won’t cut printer paper. If you do choose to buy it, confirm that the screw is tight on the crappy sheath’s soft loop because mine was loose and almost fell off. Definitely not worth $90. This is maybe a step above gas station knife quality.

The knife would have gotten a 5 star rating IF it came with the "DARK STAR" sheath that I purchased separately from Dark star for $40. If the supplied sheath is going to be lashed to a tactical belt it's fine. It also marks the knife blade black every time it's pulled out. A non issue in a SHTF scenario tho, just being picky. If the knife is your EDC then I strongly recommend purchasing the Dark star sheath. Its half the size, way more comfortable to wear while driving, and hides very well under your belt in your suit. The supplied sheath does not. Overall I am very pleased with the knife.

which I am fine with, but the sheath overlaps onto the handle ...
Let's start with the sheath. It comes with a cheaply made belt clasp instead of a clip. The sheath is far larger than it has to be due to the necessity of the expanded size for built-in holes to feed the screws through it and the clasp. So a small knife with a small signature is now a big clump where ever it is placed on your person. Your ability to place it is severely limited, the clasp has to have a belt fed through the clasp on the sheath. The knife handle is small, which I am fine with, but the sheath overlaps onto the handle leaving your hand less to grab to get a firm grip to deploy the knife. The knife. It has a reverse edge meaning it only has one edge, and it is on the side of the knife you would not expect the edge to be. No matter how you hold it, reverse grip or standard grip the blade is facing you not your opponent. I assume that it is there for the clinch aspect, thus the name. If you are grappling and you happen to have the knife in your hand, you can pull it toward you and cut your opponent off you. Of course, if the configuration of the grappling requires you to cut forward to remove a hand or arm you are out of luck because there is no edge on the opposite side.I really wanted to like this knife, but it has too many issues. I would have to buy another sheath, probably custom made. I would have to find someone who can ground down the other side of the blade to give me a double edge. That's a lot of additional expense right out of the box.

Clinch Pick Review
As far as I could tell the Clinch Pick was only for sale at three other places and sold out most of the time. I pounced when hearing that Amazon started offering it at a better price with free shipping. I'm no knife expert by any means, but I can tell this is a nice blade with quality steel and full tang. The thing to watch out for is that the sharpened edge faces up so that you can not rest your thumb on the spine if that's what you're used to doing. I immediately replaced the sheath with a more stable and adjustable cant one from Keepers Concealment (they offer great AIWB holsters, too).

The failure of manufacturing over design
I really like the concept behind this knife. However the manufacturer did a poor execution of the design, at least on the example I have. The blade came with a really thick edge and a grossly obtuse sharpening bevel. It was fairly sharp but did not cut well due to the factors listed above. One of the grips has a big flat spot where the opposite one is rounded. I tried to sharpen it to get it to cut better but gave up. Then I decided to reprofile the blade to make it thinner, especially the edge. So now it cuts better. Others have mentioned the sheath. With some modifications, it is now at least serviceable.Jeff Cooper said the M16 is a triumph of manufacturing over design. This knife is the opposite. I wish I had returned it for replacement. Maybe I would have gotten a better one. Caveat emptor.

Nice!
If you’ve never held this knife before it will seem odd at first, but give it a few days. Perfectly designed for its intended applications. The belt loop is fine, but you can add leather ones for $20 from 3d party vendors. Pretty much ambidextrous regardless of which side you wear it. Careful when you resheath the knife - push it into the groove cut for the back of the blade so you’re not pushing the sharp edge into the sheath every time you resheath.

Sharpened on wrong side
This blade is sharpened on the back - as in the place you'd unthinking put your thumb. I'm sure a super Ninja would have no issue with this, but really?
