Purchased for travel, as the original is too bulky. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the connection between the box and the cord seems a little unsupported... could bend over time. Other than that, works as advertised.

Works well to charge my 2017 Surface Pro. Only negative is that it may block an extra outlet on a power strip.

This power supply is exactly what I needed for my Surface tablet, and has been a life saver--or at least a battery life saver.It was exactly as promised and delivered right on time for our first use--the tablet loaded as an electronic music stand.Thanks so much!

UPDATE 12/12/18I just received a replacement, what a great customer service!Original:I really liked and it worked well for the first weeks, but the plug to the computer broke, and the replace window just closed. Too disappointed.

I have purchased and returned a total of at least three of these chargers. The part where you plug the charger into your surface keeps cracking. I have been able to return within the return window previously, unfortunately I missed the return window this time and did not realize it and accidentally purchased another replacement.

Pro--it does actually work. Con- the block gets hot and parts of the plastic coating next to the piece that attaches to the surface has chipped off.

loved this when I first got. had a much longer cord then my old charger and worked just as well. But now not even five months later the connecter that attaches to the computer is broken open and the magnet that keeps it attached is stuck to my computer. So not worth it if I have to buy a new on every few months.

Other Surface powersupplies do not use the standard cords between transformer and outlet, though they look the same.
