If you are using those stainless steel scissors, you need to upgrade immediately. I use these extensively for therapeutic taping (kinesio, leuko) and the fluoride coating prevents the adhesive from sticking to my scissors. Because the blades are slanted and have blunted tips, it protects the patient. For my application, a longer blade would have been a little more efficient but I knew the size when I bought it. I think it feels a little stiff in the beginning but gets better with use.

I do my best not to overlook any piece of gear and when I find items that are a good price, I like to make sure that they can adequately get the job done. I put a pair of these through a light torture test (meaning not to failure) and the toughest item I had was a piece of copper. About the thickness of a penny, but not an actual penny and these things cut straight through with minimal effort. Mind you these are not leatherman raptors, but based on what I have seen they will suffice in a med kit. Great bang for the buck and they're in a stealthy black colorway to boot. Take my money! lol

First of all, these aren't raptor shears so you cant compare them. These are great shears, especially for the price. Also great for those friends that like to "borrow" shears while on shift and they seem to vanish. Standard size shear, fits in sized pouches, pockets, etc that are meant specifically for shears. Sharpness is nice, not enough to cut a penny but they definitely get the job done.

I got these to keep around the house for whatever I might need them for. Tried them on a chunk of 5/8 rope and they did better than expected. Thank you.

Bought these to keep in a shooting range bag, with a tourniquet, just in case. I'm not sure they would be good for long term regular use, but if you are looking for trauma shears to keep around just in case, like to keep in a range bag, tactical vest, or personal medical bag, they seems good and sharp.

This was a great buy! The scissors are sharp and fit well in uniform pockets. I would purchase these scissors again.

Got them since the ones we got in our schoo loacks were really cheap and useless. These are a bit big but I’m less likely to lose them in my pockets! I like the coating in them that doesn’t allow tape to stay stuck to them as well! Overall they’re really good to use. I’ve heard there’s better but maybe when I graduate I’ll invest in the best but for now these do the job!
