Updated review just 2 months of use: the amp Jack plate broke after only 2 months of use. Turns out this is a plastic piece which doesn’t make any sense since there’s some pressure on the plate when you plug in the amp. I called Yamaha support and they sent me the $2 part for free. I mentioned that this piece should not be plastic. I went and bought an after market steel Jack plate. After extensive research and even a couple trips to guitar center, I decided to purchase this guitar for my 12 year old son. He wanted a wammy bar and the choices were limited for guitars around $200. This is a great guitar, but he immediate asked for new strings after playing a few minutes.

This is my first guitar, and it's fairly good for a beginner. Got this with the fender Mustang LT25 it's a great set up for beginners. I did notice that my b string has a slight after vibration ting sound. But I'm sure I could get that fixed if I put it in a shop. I just haven't gotten to it yet. Overall I highly recommend for your first guitar. 🎸

I bought this guitar for my son who is starting his lessons and it is an excellent guitar, the materials, the sound and the quality of it are excellent. P.d the packaging it came in protected the guitar quite well.

Bought this for my daughter. She is in elementary school, but has talent. She loves it. I think it feels like a quality piece, and is capable of wonderful sound. But, it’s on the heavy side. We don’t have other electric guitars, so can’t compare, maybe they are all this heavy? Makes it difficult for my daughter to transport/carry on her own, even with a good case.
