About a month ago I bought a Rode Video mic go . All the sites I went to said for Video Audio go to Rode . Basically the mic was a £60 piece of rubbishrubbish with a constant popping sound that you simply cannot cure . So I saw this mic . And thought at £25ish quid it was half the price of the Rode and couldn't be any worse . Not only was this mic a lot better but it literally ticked all the boxes . Yes its powered but it is supplied with a rechargeable battery and can be charged though USB , the sound quality is pretty good and definitely decent enough for vlogging and ( this was the icing on the cake ) it attaches to the hot shoe on the camera but it also has a hot dock of its own so you can add an extra light or any other attachment .So 2 takeaways from this review . Firstly this mic is worth every penny and secondly Rodes QA and customer service department needs a serious overhaul

Great Microphone and Rechargeble lipo. The price is very low for the good quality and the sound is amazing. Note that the dead cat is not included but there is a foam damping in the set.

This really is a great little Microphone, at a ridiculously low price. The build quality is excellent and it arrived today fully charged and ready to go. I done a test using my Panasonic video recorder, first using the built in microphone only, and then with the microphone switched on. When I played it back on the LCD screen I was disappointed because I could hardly hear any difference. I decided to connect it up to my TV and watch the test again.BOOM..... the difference was night and day!Very impressed! I must admit I took a bit of a punt with this item based on only one review (I nearly went for the Takstar) but I am more than happy with this little gem!

Bought this to take to record a concert and can say that although the audio will never be as good as being at the event when watching back I am very happy with the sound quality.The only mistake I made was that I have a Sony SLR and the attachment did not fit so I had to get an adapter (completely my mistake)

Ok sounds, shame it's only monaural

Good product, haven't tested it thoroughly but seems to pick up better sound than the inbuilt microphones on my Nikon D530010/10
