7 YEARS LATER
Actually I bought it 6 years, 11 months, and 21 days ago...I may as well be exact as this scale...Back then it cost $16.35 + $5.58 shipping since I didn't have Prime yet...I'd gladly pay the same amount for another one, but this one still functions as if it was brand new... Some reasons why this is a kickass scale, whether old or new : -The blue backlighting is a discrete convenience... -Two AAA batteries last a very long time... -Even if it DID eat batteries, the chamber in back holds a spare set... -If I didn't know how to use it, all I'd have to do is look at the lid/tray... -Still accurate to within 1/100 of a gram, according to my other scales... -Fits in a jeans pocket no problem, and goes wherever I go... -Doesn't need constant calibration...(Haven't calibrated it this YEAR, but it's still dead on) -Tare function comes in very handy when weighing hundreds of pills at once... -Didn't cost much, so I don't really care if it gets a bit banged around... -The fact that it CAN get banged around... A few things I've learned : -It must be on a flat, stable surface or it won't read right... -The heavier you can make that surface the better, even if it's just a large book... -To get the best accuracy, press down a little (as lightly as possible) when placing on whatever you are weighing...Don't know why this works, but it does... -Adjust the position so that the majority of the mass is resting on the center of the weighing platform... -To clean, breathe on the metal and wipe with something that won't leave traces, such as a shop rag, eyeglass cloth, etc. while the scale is off...I usually do this a few times... -A bill from your wallet should weigh exactly 1 gram, and makes for a quick tray with plenty of shape options...A fast tool... Difficult to go wrong with AWS...Employ common sense and it works fine... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Hopes this helps... GOOD LUCK !!!

Accurate, Durable, and Multipurpose
This scale works very well and has held up over the years. I’ve had it for quite a while now, and it still performs just as reliably as when I first purchased it. It’s versatile enough to use for a variety of purposes — I’ve weighed everything from plants to food with accurate results every time. It’s simple, dependable, and definitely worth recommending if you’re looking for a long-lasting, multipurpose scale. TL;DR: Reliable, accurate, and durable — works great for both food and plants, even after years of use.

Small, mobile, precise. Excellent.
This product arrived today (packaging was great), and it worked so well I was inspired to come write a review immediately. It served exactly the purposes for which I required it, and it did so without many significant issues. First of all, it's pretty small. While this is handy in most situations, it also leads to the only minor complaint that I had: the scale itself is so small that it becomes harder to measure some foodstuffs without the powders and pellets falling off the edge. It would be nice if there were a lip around the perimeter to prevent the weighed items from spilling over. Moreover, there is a bit of space that would allow smaller items and powders to fall beneath the scale platform. Luckily, I was measuring out hop pellets for use in a home-brew recipe, and though they rolled off fairly easily, they were not small enough to fall underneath the scale, entirely, just off the edge onto the counter. This problem would be solved, of course, by using a container (see below), but even then, I had trouble finding a container that was both small enough and light enough that it would do the job without getting me too close to the 100 gram limit. I might consider investing in a 100g weight, but I didn't want to wait for the additional shipping on that item, so I used 40 pennies to calibrate it, and it seemed to do the trick (e.g. I had what my supply store said was 1 oz, and those pellets weighed right about 28.4 g after calibration. The tare function on the scale is rather intuitive and very functional. As noted above, the only containers I have are, apparently, somewhat dense (and large) for this scale; I should have considered this before I bought a scale with a 100 g weight max, but I really liked the precision of this one and most of the time I am measuring only a few ounces or less of hops. There is a fold-over lid that latches into place. This protects the scale itself from being jostled or damaged when you move it. It appears to do a very good job. The directions are printed on the inside of the lid, which makes for easy reference. However, it is so intuitive you will likely only need to read them once. Even calibrating the scale is not very difficult. The LCD screen is very legible. Two batteries were enclosed; they were inserted into the battery slots, but there was a plastic strip between one battery and the node to prevent draining the battery during transit. It worked pretty much straight out of the box (though it did require 40 pennies or 20 nickels or a 100 g calibration weight). I will update if further experience warrants.

Very precise and looks sturdy enough to last for years to come. My only complain is I wish it could weight more than 350g, but advertise for a max of 300g so I knew when I bought it.

Impeccable. Je l'utilise pour peser du houblon pour le brassage de bière. La fonctionnalité de remise à zéro lorsqu'il y a un récipient dessus est parfaite.
