the charge disapated .stopped working after 3-4 months. maybe it was a run down used cmos battery . dont buy this product.-

This battery was compatible with my Inspiron 1318, very easy to install.

Battery works fine. Red and White wire were reversed for my Dell Vostro 1500. I'm not sure if polarity makes a difference, but to be safe I cut both wires, connected red to the white and white to red and soldered them. Red +positive was located on the middle pin of my original battery.

Got it and took attention that red wire is connected to edge ping, not to middle pin. Took a voltmeter and yes - wiring is incorrect. Beware.

Package arrived on time and well packed. But, the battery was dead.

The wires are not right.

I should've tested the battery properly after i installed it. As it stands, my return window closed a week ago. The laptop battery drained completely and the cmos battery failed to hold the bios settings.

I was able to install it, but it didn't work
