I got these to try out watercolor brush pens. I liked that they came with a case. Watercolors intimidate me, so despite having artist quality paints, I rarely use them. I thought maybe using these just for coloring books I might enjoy, yet still it was three months from purchase before I tried them out. What a wonderful surprise to find them so easy to use! Definitely not intimidating.There is a nice selection of colors for only 24. At first I used them straight, and added water. Then I tried adding water to the paper first. Then I got really brave and started experimenting, dabbing the color into a plastic lid, adding a drop of water, mixing colors and now I am ready to start using my "real" watercolors for my own drawings! I will continue using these brush pens for color books and also for taking with me for paint sketching on location. Much more portable and cleaner to use than other paints. I prefer these brush paints to markers, though each have their place. So far, I am very pleased. I can't say how these compare to other brands because it's the only brand I have tried.

These were the first watercolor pens I have tried. I like them. I swatched them on regular textured watercolor paper and the result was not good. No blending was possible and they dried soon as they hit the paper. However, I drew some flowers on a smooth watercolor paper and the results were much better. I then used them to create a cover page for my 70lb sketch book. They did not blend well so I used a damp waterbrush and it blended but bled through. Having said that, I like them. I think they would be great for coloring books, cardstock, smooth surfaces and journaling with journals with paper thicker than 70lb. Honestly you can't beat the value. A set of that many colors, of good selection, in a case, with water brush included in excellent value and great for beginners, crafters, or kids.

The pens are like a paintbrush. Color is true.

LOVE THESE! They were shipped and arrived super fast and were in great condition, had a good variety of colors in a solid case — not a dry marker in the bunch. I bought these for a trip so that I can “paint” without a big mess and I experiemented with them the other night and they’re great! I highly recommend!

(The photos are some tester sketches I did with the pens)I was honestly skeptical when I saw the name “Daskid” printed on the product. I was thinking this was going to be something around the grade of roseart or something else cheap intended for children. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these pens! They flow smoothly and lay down vibrant colors onto the page. I’ve been working with watercolors for about two years now, and this was my first experience with brush pens, and my normal painting routine hasn’t been the same! I find myself often going back to these pens.The pros:Simple to use, vibrancy, moveable color! Little mess, and easy cleanup. Much more confident than traditional watercolors, and a great quality for the price.Now for the cons:They dry really quick, so blending is often tricky. I’ll sometimes lay down a color and go to spread it with the waterbrush pen, only to find it leaves a streak where the color was originally laid down.Another con would be the color palette itself. It comes with some very similar colors then leaves you with a dull array of others. For example, the red-orange range takes up around 1/3 of the entire range, but there is a single muted brown. This is only a small con though, as they are blend-able, and you’re able to get a much wider array if you know how to work with the colors and are able to work fast enough before they dry.Overall, a very good product for the price point, would definitely recommend!

Lots of color variety

Super simple to use. I do wish they would have had some kind of instructions since they were bought for kids and they weren’t sure if you used water first or color first. But super sturdy and pretty colors!

These water color brush pens are much nicer than I expected for the price. I have used them a lot already and there are no frays whatsoever, and they just work perfectly! I am going to get another set for my sons step-daughter for her birthday. Highly recommend!!
