Holy Bible, New International Version, Zondervan 1984 Hardcover – January 1, 1984

Great version to own of a thought by thought Bible. Helps bring out important nuances other versions like word for word make it easier to miss. This older version isn't gender neutral. It's easier to me to understand that way unlike newer versions of it that are more that way.

This version is the only one I would suggest in the NIV. Doesn’t have the omitted verses or added politically correct jargon that the newer version have.The front and back cover are designed for heavy use and not sure if it’s a plastic, vinyl or leather.Mine came non marked and I knew it was a used bible so I was prepared for some markings.It did have a slight smell as though it was packed in a basement in the damp (wasn’t wet nor did it have any wet spot markings) but just smelled of a slight odor but nothing that won’t be fixed by keeping it in a warmer place.After opening the Bible it seemed like it had never actually been opened before.

Bible arrived used and in terrible condition. Page loose and cover looked like it had been painted.

I am so greatfull to have been able to find a "new" old NIV bible! The original one I had was worn out, and I wanted to be able to still read a "new" bible with the same familiar wording.The "new" bible i received from the sender: its a black hardcover. Quick scanning of pages and there's no highlights or pen underlining that i noticed. Pretty sure this bible lived in a church pew :)A thankyou to the sender!

A gift from my grandparents, I got the compact hardcover edition of this in college, and I wore it out! I've since used other translations, but I've always missed the helpful commentary that's in this Bible. So after my dad died, I used Christmas money he'd saved back for me to purchase this edition. I love the cover and the maps, footnotes, overviews, etc. My only disappointment was the size and heft of this. It's a bit bulky for taking it with me to church and Bible study, but I do it anyway!

NIV Large Print Reference Bible, Personal Size, Thumb Indexed (Black Bonded Leather) This was a gift for my husband for father's day. He has the KJV but wanted one that was in today's language which makes it easier to read and understand. It also is the version our pastor uses so this makes it easier to follow along with him when he is reading. This one is perfect for someone in our age group (60-70's) since the large print is so easy to see but the entire Bible is here with an average size Bible, not big and bulky. The tabs are a bit small and a little hard to see but I'm sure with time anyone will get used to it.

The Bible I received was as described in goid condition. I wanted the NIV Bible printed before 2012. As it is different version of today's version. Thank you.
