Buy it for the comfort! KEEP it for the CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!
I purchased a Saatva Classic (Plush soft). Saatva makes a great mattress but it's stiff as a board!! After 2 weeks I knew it just wasn't going to work. I thought about buying a topper to try to help. I emailed Sleep On Latex before purchasing because I found out you can get HALF OFF the topper if you buy one of their Mattresses. I was wondering if I could purchase a topper the possibly get a discount on the mattress. Sadly that was not an option. So I decided bite the bullet and buy the mattress. It is AWESOME and HEAVY!! Once I got it set up I knew it would take a while to get used to the feel of latex. I also knew the I would need a topper. So I talked with Customer support. They said buy the topper from amazon and once it processed they would credit 50% once they say the order come through. This took TWO HOURS!!! WOOOOW!!! I was expecting next day or more but in just 2 hours after purchasing the topper the credit was already back in the bank.THE BED: Latex is a new sensation. Shifting positions is EFFORTLESS on latex. I'm a side sleeper and very heavy at 275lbs. I got the medium firm which could be very comfortable for a lighter person but just a little too firm for me. The weird thing about latex is even though it's firm you still get relief on your pressure points. It's sleeps nice and cool. Also mine had no latex odor that people sometimes say. The mattress is VERY HEAVY. I'm an avid weight lifter and had to move this up a flight of stairs solo. If I got a King I'm not sure it would have happened. If you get this bed make sure you have a friend or eat a big breakfast! LOLLatex is also "Floppy" so It can be a little difficult to maneuver but it can be done.Once it was set up, I swear my bedroom just felt cleaner? It's hard to explain, but the all natural Latex with cotton is just a really nice experience.CUSTOMER SERVICE: These guys/gals are just AMAZING!! They're based in the Chicago area and every email I sent (there were many) were answered IN UNDER AND HOUR!!! They are extremely knowledgable and patient They answered every silly and hypothetical question I had!! Just a great experience!! Can not say enough good things about these folks!!Conclusion: The bed is GREAT! If you need to make it less firm...get a TOPPER! They will offer a discount on a topper after the purchase of the mattress. I got the 3" soft and it is AWESOME!! I'm even considering adding another 2 inches. That's another great thing about latex you can basically build your own mattress till it's exactly what you want! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Amazing Value (queen size mattress and the medium-soft topper by same company)
General Reaction:I've only owned 2 mattresses before this one: a "Dormia" cal-king memory foam that I purchased ~$800 back in late 2000's and an "the organic mattress store" medium firm organic natural latex queen mattress ($3148!!!) in 2015. Compared to both of those mattresses, at < $800 this mattress is an unbelievable value!Firmness:I weigh over 200 lbs and if I press down on one knee it almost bottoms out on this mattress. I would describe this as "soft", but this is the worst part to buying mattresses online as it is highly subjective. Also, maybe this is just me, but if you've previously owned "firm" memory foam mattresses, I would recommend ordering less firm natural latex. To me, natural latex is less forgiving than memory foam and may effectively feel firmer since it doesn't conform to your shape as much. Also, I've been told by the "organic mattress store" that over time natural latex slightly hardens, so keep that in mind too.Comfort:With the mattress AND topper combined, this mattress makes the old "medium" firm organic mattress I owned previously feel like a cement block! For the amount spent, I couldn't be happier. I am almost in disbelief at the cost being so cheap for such a quality product.Smell:There is an earthy smell, almost like sheep's wool. Some don't like this smell, but to me it doesn't smell toxic or dangerous. It is the usual smell of natural latex and I actually kinda like it! If you don't like it, I imagine it could be covered up with heavy blankets, but maybe buy a small natural rubber product and smell that first to be sure you're okay with sleeping on something that has that odor.Weight/Durability:This is a solid mattress (not broken up into separate twins like the organic mattress store sold me). The downside is it is more awkward to move, but comfort is superior without a split down the middle. It is certainly thinner than traditional boxsprings and comes in a zipper jacket for washing. My previous organic mattress has held up very well, and I don't see any reason this one won't last a lifetime. The best part to natural latex is it's a very solid design that won't degrade easily. You're buying a fat chunk of rubber!Overall, if you purchase this mattress with the topper, I think most will be happy. On it's own, if you're heavy set like me, it might be a little thin and soft to where you might feel the surface below. If you're under 200 LBS, then perhaps the mattress alone without a topper might work. I like toppers though as you can swap them out really easily and they protect the mattress underneath.

An overall excellent choice.
I have used the mattress for almost a year now.* The mattress cover is a lot whiter and softer than some of the product photos suggested.* It had a quite strong latex smell that gradually reduced over a couple of months. My wife seemed to be bothered by the smell more than me.* It is heavy and difficult to handle as there is no handles on the cover. If there were handles, most likely it would be torn off by the weight anyway.* Before the purchase I knew the mattress had three latex layers: a 2" soft top layer, a 2" median middle layer, and a 4" hard bottom layer. I thought if the mattress was too heavy to handle down the road, I could purchase two 4" mattress covers, put the top two layers in one and the bottom layer into another, so I could deal with half the weight at a time. However, it turned out that all three layers are glued together.* For me, weight 160lb and mostly a back sleeper, the softness is about right. For my wife, weight 120lb and more of a side sleeper, it is a little hard when sleeping on the side.* I recommend pairing it with an adjustable bed frame for even better weight distribution and support.
