I needed to fix my Lenovo 510-15IKB Laptop (ideapad) - Type 80SV. The laptop screen went black but the laptop was still running.The graphics card was functioning, and the laptop successfully outputted to another display. I ran the diagnosis, it said nothing was wrong. I also updated all drivers - with no change. So I decided to replace the eDP cable and the screen. The replacement display came in 4 days and it works pretty well now.Don’t forget to uninstall Generic PNP Monitor after installing a new screen and restart the computer.

Fit was not quite right - a little offset to the right made it so it didn't quite fit perfectly in the bezel, but it was better than a non-functional laptop, so...
