Color:Copper Two pair of professional quality zills, four pieces in total. This Zills is hand crafted in India by Master craftsman , they are A Grade Zills with Great Sound . A quintessential piece of equipment for the middle eastern belly dancer, the finger cymbals, or zills as they are frequently called, provide both an upbeat sound and a method for the dancer to set and change the rhythm of the dance. These small one hole zills are both functional, with a clear sweet tone, and decorative, cast in a floral ornate designs over the entire surface. Measuring 2.25 inches across, and with an expandable elastic finger loop to accommodate a variety of finger shapes and sizes, these are surely a welcome addition to any dancer's possessions.

Not too happy
I was excited about receiving these and using them in my belly dancing class. I was disappointed when I took them out of the package and noticed that the black elastic straps that hold them on to your fingers did not have the option to cut/fit to your finger size. They are already knotted once and then cut so you cannot adjust them. I have small fingers and two of them are still really small on my fingers, to the point of being uncomfortable.I as disappointed in their sound as well. I was expecting a pleasant high pitch ring and instead they had a rough, brassy clang to them. I have heard you can put them in the oven and bake them to change the sound but I would have to undo the elastic to do that and then would have to buy replacement elastic. May try it, may just get new ones somewhere else.

Design quality and packaging are very nice. Good size for practice.
Love the price, love the product quality and protector bag. I can't evaluate this as I am new to zills, but the only time I would get a nice tone was when I barely touched the outer tip edge. Maybe that is how to play them, but was expecting a more long lasting tone like you would hear in a concert; a sound that carried and sustained. These don't appear to do this (it may be operator error on my part). That was the disappointment, not the pleasant sound I'd hoped for. When zills performers use zills as cadence beat and pound them on the floor the sound is good also from their zills, but I could not get the same from this. They are great for practice, but needs a 1 inch elastic to make them part of your body so they don't swing around. I will also be trying a variety of zills from other sellers on Amazon.

Tin Can Sound
Weak sound. Flimsy strap. These are more of a children's toy then an instrument of intregrity. You get what you pay for, right? I was expecting a refined tone since these are meditation cymbals. Instead, they sound like two tin cans being clunked together. No resonance, or delayed ring. So, I decided to order the Zildjian Thick Finger Cymbals, which, no doubt, are a truer sound.

Good quality at a bargain price
Very nice zills for the price (and I paid $3 more for them than they are now). They are very solid and a little on the heavy side, but they have a much nicer ring to them, than a lot of other low cost zills I have heard played in our troupe. A lot of cheaper zills have a tinny sound to them. Not these. The elastic is pretty bad, but it is so easily replaced that I do not consider it a problem. I usually have to readjust the fit anyways. The little blue and gold bag is definitely an added bonus. Would I buy them again? Most definitely!

Great Practice Zils
SIZE: I have big ol' man hands and these fit very well. I wear size XL gloves and I'm just not a dainty lady. So if you have smaller hands, the elastic will be too big for you. They're actually just a little too big on my middle finger.SOUND: They sound fine. Not awesome, but not horrible either. Keep in mind part of this depends on how you play. I play them and they sound good but probably because of the way I strike them together. They have a nice ring. If you're just clackin em together, they sound like crap. #honestyRECOMMEND: If you need a pair to practice or just something to learn with, go on and get them. If you're performing, invest in some Saroyan zils.

Bells on my Fingers
They r very well made and have excellent weight. The bag it arrived in is gorgeous (royal blue with slivery embroidery, with an elephant motif). A few other fellow students in my class made this same purchase from thus same seller. The only problem we ran into was that the elastic bands are extremely loose, even for the thickest of fingers. Howecer, this is no real big deal as my instructor informed us this was a simple fix.The delivery was very quick and was packaged so there was zero damages.A new loyal customer!

sound
They are beautiful in appearance, but the sound,(tone), is lacking. They look like solid brass, but I don't believe they are. the tone it kind of a dull ring and it should be a bright, crisp ring. Sorry. They are probably worth the price. They just aren't what I was expecting.

These are great for beginners
These zills are great for learning zills. These have a different sound than the ones our instructor has. While I am able to get great tones out of them, some of the other beginners are having trouble getting the right tones. It comes with practice. You'll need to adjust them to fit your fingers. The better the fit, the more control you'll have of them, the better the sound will be. Just don't get them too tight.
