It had a nice taste. I don't enjoy drinking milk products but they unique taste of this make it bearable. I Feel more energetic after starting to drink this.

I ordered this to help get some added nutrients after illness. Ensure is quite expensive and doesn't last, and I decided to give this a try as it's a saving on the normal powder. I found it no different in using and it breaks up fine, though it does very much taste of unsweetened almonds so if you don't like that taste I recommend you find an alternative. I don't mind almonds and regardless I'm taking it for my health and are therefore not too bothered what it tastes like.

Great quality. Best flavour for nutrition. Excellent effect which can be noticed only 1-2 days after use. I am still expecting how I will feel later on. I think what I am very critical about is that the price quickly increased after I bought it. So it seems we got hooked, and now the seller expects more revenue in exchange for the value. The size gives you approximately 6 servings, and this is expensive, especially if you would ideally drink it twice a day. Packaging was okay, but I keep asking Amazon to stop sending boxes, and send products in their original packaging instead.

My dad is 70 and loosing a little weight, I have heard of ensure with regards to meal replacements and helping elderly people who are struggling to eat so I thought I would give this a go. Hes stuck in his ways so doesn't take any vitamins or anything like that. This is natural and plant based so no additives you know what is in it. It comes in a good decent size tin, this will last my dad a little while, he loves milk so I just followed the instructions on the tin, it comes with a scoop I mixed it in with milk and it mixed very easily. I was expecting it to leave lumps which it didn't. It wen't really smooth really quick. It didn't smell the best in the tin but I am guessing because it is plant based. My dad seems to like it, i have given him one every day so far and he is really enjoying it. I am reassured that it is giving him all the vital things he is missing and needs. This is ideal for elders who need that extra boost like my dad, or if you go to the gym this is also a protein shake. It has a good expiry on it so you don't need to worry about that. At least if my dad doesn't eat I know he has got some nutrients from this so it puts my mind at ease. I think it is great and a good price.

Lovely protein shake. I like the taste and consistency. I actually look forward to it after the workout. It has a very mild almond like taste and it is like a thicker plant based milk. It would be also versatile enough to add it into some shakes but I really enjoy it on it's own. It is plant based (hydrolysed corn starch, plant based proteins - soy protein isolate, quinoa powder, rice protein); it dissolves well with a bit of shaking and it is not thick or gloopy or super filling which I like when I don't want to feel too full but just want to get the protein in. It comes in a big 850g metal jar with the plastic lid. It is therefore very easy to scoop the powder out. The con is that the scoop is tiny. On the tub it states: standard serving of 230ml - 6 scoops in187ml of room temperature water. I usually make it in a small shaker and am not very precise with the water. Recommended use is 1-2 servings a day. One serving is only 10.5g of protein which I am ok with but if I do a lot of strong workouts and want to build some muscle mass I would go for 2 servings. Nutritional profile is quite impressive. Sweetener is sucrose. Happy with the product and especially with this almond/neutral flavour!

I use protein supplement powder every day and have done for many years, so I am always open to trying different variants to see if I can find anything that is markedly better quality or better value than I am using already. This plant based protein shake is not my first experience of Ensure products - I have some not altogether positive memories of using their pre-mixed drinks during prolonged stays in hospital in the past. That memory aside, this is is what I thought of this product: * The product is packaged well enough in a resealable tub with clear enough breakdown of ingredients and nutritional values. * The nutritional delivery is actually pretty good and better balanced than many alternatives. Rather than concentrating purely on protein and carbohydrates, this mix includes an impressive number of vitamins & minerals too. * The calorific delivery per portion is very much in line with other quality powders I have tried, whether vegetarian or non-vegetarian. However, the protein content per portion is lower than many alternatives, including my usual brand. * The powder is fine and mixes well into the water. It will mix perfectly adequately even if just shaken in a bottle, though I prefer to use a hand blender, which gives an even smoother result. * The resultant mixture does not become particularly viscous, so not for people who like their protein drink to resemble a thick milkshake. * The flavour delivery, unfortunately, is not great and the aftertaste does taste a little artificial. * Cost comparison: Based on the current price of £16.14 for 400g this works out at around £2.31 per 60g portion, which is incredibly expensive, even after making allowance for the price premium that vegetarian products often have. The brand (non-vegetarian) that I currently use would typically cost around 85p for an 85g portion (to match the same calorific delivery of 60g of this Ensure product), though I do buy it in larger quantities in order to achieve this cost price. My current product also has a significantly better flavour. So, in summary: This wouldn't really be a product for me. It not only tastes poor, but it costs significantly more than my current (superior tasting) powder. It may have some appeal to people looking for a vegetarian alternative, but I have tried a reviewed other vegetarian/vegan protein powders that are better and more appealing than this one, with my preferred vegan options being the products from PhD Nutrition and Les Frimeurs.
