"The Joy Of Kintsugi" --Urushi Lacquer Handbook Tankobon Hardcover – June 24, 2013

If you can read Japanese, this book is quite honestly the perfect guide. And even if you can't, the pictures are so clear and straightforward that you're still getting a wonderful reference. Very pleased I made this purchase!

Images are clear, so you understand the basics of the book, even though it's written in Japanese.

Beautiful pictures, but without the English subtitles the Japanese instructions are impossible to follow for this Gaijin. I should have read the reviews and understood that it is written in JAPANESE before I ordered it.

Would have given it 5 stars if I could read the Japanese text! Never the less, the step by step photos are very easy to understand. Great book

I looked at this book in a library to see if I wanted to purchase it. I have taken classes in kintsugi and there is no way you could learn how to do it from this book. It's in Japanese. It has nice pictures but even though I know the steps and processes I don't read Japanese so I really couldn't figure out exactly what was going on. I hope someone does a kintsugi book in English but even then I think you have to have a teacher.

キットを買うより、ローコストで出来るかな？と思ったけれど、ちゃんとやると、それなりの金額になる事がわかりました。。。材料を揃えて、頑張ってみますが、キットでも良かったのかなー？

お気に入りの陶器の補修が出来ない物か、と、興味を持ち、購入しました。細かく写真入りで解説されていますし、パターン別にもなっていて、一度かってみようかな？と思えました。

まだ、やっていないが、いずれは金継をしたくて購入。写真も多く、とても丁寧にかかれているので、やる前に熟読したい。
