316 "L" grade is the low carbon version of 316 stainless steel. The difference between 316 and 316 L stainless steel is that 316 L has a lower carbon (.03 max). Even Better for high-temperature, high-corrosion uses, welding, construction and marine projects. It is commonly used in marine applications and architectural applications near the seashore or in urban areas. In chemical and petrochemical industry, in food processing, pharmaceutical equipment, medical devices, in potable water, wastewater treatment.
