Reg 8mm Film Reel - 200 ft. (5 inch)

I had a 25 foot white 'flat' Cat6 Ethernet cord that sometimes I use for a laptop. It was always tangled, so I wound all 25 feet onto this reel. It looks like it was made for it.Now it stores neatly in my laptop bag and I can write on it as to exactly what it is.REMEMBER to allow one to two feet of cable to dangle free from the hub when you 'start winding' so you have enough length to connect to your equipment without unwinding all 25 feet. I would also wind it so the Ethernet plug 'tap' (that thing that always gets snags and breaks easily) points in toward the hub protecting it. Use a wide rubber band around the whole thing to keep it in place. This reel was for '200 feet of regular 8mm film' and handled my 25 foot cable perfectly.Just remember what I said about allowing a couple of free feet at the start so you don't have to unwind the entire thing.Repurposing the old 8mm reel! It's nice when an idea works. LOLThis was sold by MomentCatcher Productions LLC Via Amazon and had a unique way of packaging. Some styrofoam peanuts were 'hand placed between the slots in the reels' so the couldn't be crushed. Tip of the hat to ya!I hope my little idea might be of use to you.

Have bought other reels in past. Will not break with slightest touch. Would buy again.

I paid to have 8mm digitized and the Kodak machine produced a better quality product and my old films never left my home. Yes, it’s not fast but we’ll worth the time.

Works very well. I use this as a spare spool when converting 8mm films to digital. The original 60+ year old spools have become warped over the years. This spool is used as a temporary replacement.

I bought these reels expecting the worse. I was very pleasantly surprised. They even placed a spacer in the reel to keep it from warping and being deformed during shipping. Great buy.
