3M4910 VHB Mounting Tape, Acrylic Foam, Permanent Bonding, Heavy Duty, Clear, 0.5 in x 5 yd, 1 Roll

I am converting a closet into a recording booth and using 12 x 12 x 1 foam panels as sound proofing. One set of panels are "mushroom top" and the instructions recommended this product for applying the panels.For ease of use, this took a some time, yet once it was started it was no problem. In order to peel the red backing from the tape itself, using fingernails to peel didn't work. I actually had to find a YouTube video which recommended using the blade of a knife to dig into the red backing to peel away. This was dead on truth and worked. Once I got it started I would cut the excess red backing just enough were there was a tab to grab and peel for my next amount.The actual tape is pretty sticky and works well. A couple of panels I actually applied to the back of the foam and to the wall, and the tape holds up very well. For other pieces of foam I used tacky spray glue and put a backing on the foam, then applied this product to the backing and applied to wall. I found this to be a better technique and the product is holding the panels in place. So the adhesive works well!I have yet to try to remove from wall as I know that if I remove in the wrong manner it will damage the back of the foam on the pieces that does not have backing. This is why I gave 4 stars under this feature.This product has proved successful for the use I need and this amount has proved just enough for my needs. If I needed to reorder, I would use this again.Hope this helps!

This clear tape works great and comes in a variety of widths and thicknesses. Easy to use if you check out a YouTube video on it but a little tricky to start peeling the protective mylar coating if not used before. Tip. Use the tip of an exacto knife to pierce and start the peel and also cut the tape a little longer than needed so you have an end to touch with your fingers that you don't need to use as you do not want to touch it before applying. Also let the bond cure adequately before putting weight on the object being fastened. Very good water proof adhesive. Takes a little work to peel off surfaces with finger nail but comes off clean. Best product for strong, removable, waterproof, removable bonding i have found so far.

I used this to attach some plastic door track slides for some terrarium glass doors and it worked great

Made a fish tank glass top.. needed to hold the plastic handle to glass.... Well all the handles stated to buy this stuff because the factory stuff failed... This stuff is not easy to work with super sticky... I mean sticky tenacious.. Perfect stuff for a water proof grab... I use a razor knife to peal the backing tricky.. Cutting the material is a multi cut process ever for a very sharp blade..another plus, sticky and super strong..yippiee... Amazing stuff..

I use 3M VHB tape for several things, including holding a dash cam to auto glass. It's gummy so it can be cleaned off easily, it holds well, and it has a good operating temperature range - no problem in a hot car. The only frustrating thing is getting the red backing film off. Tweezers help. Overall it's excellent tape, though.

Buyer be aware, tape doesn't stick strong enough to the surfaces as described. I called 3M and they didn't recognize this VHB product and told me to be aware of products claiming to be 3M. They also told me that VHB is an industrial product and it comes in big rolls. I wish I knew this earlier and the last agent in Amazon customer service is the worst ever.
