Feels very light vs. loreal lash paradise that makes me feel sleepy and heavy eyed after application. This one separates and curls lashes nicely without clumping. Only negative is it doesn't volumize a lot. I'm going to use it as my everyday mascara since it's so gentle and removal is easy. No smudging or lash loss at all.

This is a great mascara. The tubing really works and is my favorite type of mascara. It comes off easily with warm water but does not smudge throughout the day. I will say that the tube that came when I ordered the product was smaller than I expected, but that was probably because I ordered the travel size by accident. Overall this is a good product that I will order again.

I absolutely love this mascara! My lashes stay beautiful all day when I wear it. It doesn't flake and goes on really easy and comes off with a makeup wipe just as easy!

About me: mid-forties, and having a lot of issues with mascara transferring to above my upper lids. Grabbed Tarte travel-sized mascara here for $15 ($28 for full-size), and found a full-sized Maybelline the Colossal at a local bargain shop for $4 (normally priced around $9). In the photos, the Maybelline is on my right eye and the Tarte is on the left—first shot is after two coats (with a coat of my favorite primer first), and the second is after wearing for about 12 hours. The Verdict: Both mascaras delivered almost identical length and volume, with only minor end-of-day flaking. Neither transferred to my upper lids. When it came to application, though, the Maybelline brush was definitely the winner—it was easier to control and gave cleaner coverage with less clumping. Even after wiping the Tarte brush twice on a paper towel, it still left too much product on my lashes. Normally I’m a bit of a product snob, but the Maybelline costs half as much, works just as well, and applies more smoothly. Bonus points if you can find it on clearance, like I did—I’ll definitely be heading back to grab another tube before they run out! Regarding the Tarte XL - 4 stars for the product itself, but I’m dropping my rating to 3 stars for value and ease of use.

This mascara does not make my lashes look their best, but it wears and washes off clean...meaning it does not irritate my eyes or leave black residue inside my eyelids. I am 68 now and want to make precautions to keep my eyes as healthy as I can, so this will do for my daily mascara and I will leave the other mascaras for special occasions only.

My favorite mascara ever. I never tried tubing mascara until I ordered this one and I now understand the hype. It looks so good on and comes off so easily when you wash your face
