I ordered a black, 26" collar. I received a Brown 15 1/2" collar. A Martingale collar has a very specific design and purpose. It is not a "choke chain" device. The collar should fit your dog snug when the chain is fully drawn. Just enough to keep him from pulling out of his collar. I am not sure the chain should be factored into measuring the collar.The workmanship is disappointing. There are four 1/2" diameter copper rivets holding chrome hardware and leather straps together. For $49.44 I was expecting much more.The seller offered to correct his mistakes. I can not afford the extra expense so for that and other issues I think I will pass, but thank you

Decent collar - pretty and functional
Collar is easy to adjust to size, and is a good weight for our 85lb dog. The last martingale collar he had was so heavy we felt bad for him, even though it was of really high quality. This one seems pretty strong, but I don't know about "last a lifetime" like another reviewer mentioned. In fact, I really scratched it with just an acidental graze of my fingernail as I was putting it on my dog for the first time. Still, I'd definitely buy it again, and it's decent quality. We've had it about a week now, and the copper stud is still shiny as a new penny. Worth the money. I'd say buy it if your dog is an occasional puller or likes to "surge" forward to meet other dogs, but NOT if your dog tends to lunge at other dogs. I'm just not sure it would hold if repeatedly stressed by an angry dog. (I say this cause we had a 100+ pound dog that could definitely have snapped through this single-strand leather.)

Very good collar.
Works good and it's much better and humane than a regular choker, comfortable for the dog, looks good too.

Good solid product
This works well and buckles so it can be removed easily for grooming. I also bought a flat engraved tag for it that slides across the tab for a permanent label of dogs name and phone number.

Great quality leather
Great quality leather! This is the second one I purchased my other dog chewed up the other one over the years but I loved it so much I won’t be buying from anywhere else but here:) very satisfied!

Id give 5 if the leather was a little thicker. For 50 bucks i thought it be thicker. Other than that a great product
