2012 ultra limited. Had originally bought the standard seat 79646. Felt like I was sitting on tank. Was worried this seat would set me to far back( I’m 5’10). Seat is perfect. Heat is nice to have for cooler days. Wife is happy. Although expensive it’s worth the cost. Doesn’t come with backrest. Have tried the hammock and ultimate seat. Search is over.

Installation was a breeze. Installed on a 2016 Road Glide Ultra. Had to buy the wire harness from HD to make it plug and play. I gave it 4 stars because It feels about the same as OEM stock seat. Looks better than stock. It has more leg room. At a stop it does not cut Into the back of the legs like OEM. The heated seat is nice on colder rides. Passenger seat, my wife says it has better comfort than OEM. We have not taken any long rides on it yet to give it any review of several hour ride.

Very easy to install

I literally just received this seat but I’m so excited about it I had to share my excitement.I was in desperate need of a good touring seat on my ‘21 Road Glide. My butt hurts after about 100 miles on the stock seat, so I started looking for a replacement. Unfortunately all seats were backordered 6 -12 weeks, so I nearly settled for the Harley Hammock which was curiously available. My dealer had a demo that I tried for a few days, and it was better than stock, but still caused butt pain around 100 miles. I had been searching Amazon for a good seat and this one came up with a GREATLY reduced price and showed “Used - Very Good”. Since it was “used”, I didn’t byte, until I just happened to check this seat on Amazon Prime day and found that it was 25% off if I tried Prime for 30 days. That was a substantial savings, on top of the already reduced price, so I jumped on it. I was a little worried what the condition of the seat would be when it arrived, but thought I’d just return it if it was damaged or something. Anyway, it came to me today, in 2 days with free Prime delivery, and although the box was beat up, the seat looks literally brand new. Not only did I score an incredible price on this seat, I think I’m going to be extremely happy with it. Can’t wait to get it installed and go on a nice long trip to test it out.

The backrest section does not hold the back rest in multiple positions. It may be the br itself or the seat.Heat doesn't seem to get very warm will test on my next ride. Just installed, haven't ridden much.Updated: heat works fine, seat isn't extended reach by 1.75" like description says. Maybe half inch further back. However, the angle of the seat is more comfortable. Did my first 200 on it, pretty comfortable l assuming when it breaks in a little will be very comfortable.Update: Spoke to Mustang today, they are going to ship my seat to fix the heat. Also as far as the backrest not staying put, there is a screw under the seat that adjusts the tension. This should fix my problems. Also asked them to verify if the seat I got was actually extended reach, I do still think it may be mislabeled as its not much different than stock.

So the numbers match up. But the driver seat length as reported by Mustang is supposed to be 16-3/4". This seat measures 15". I went from a LePera Daddy Long Leg (painful to sit on) to this and it sits me about 4 inches further forward than the LePera. Feels about the same as the "Reduced Reach" Harley-Davidson seat that was on my bike when I bought it. It's comfortable for the most part but not as comfortable as you'd expect at this price. But seriously, it's either mislabeled or just not made right. It's definitely NOT extended reach, at least not the one I received. Looks nice. Just wish there was some clarification as to the size before purchasing. It certainly pushes you further forward than the factory Harley seat on your street glide.
