Decievingly inexpensive, lightweight, powerhouse wifi 7 router
I wanted to do something to improve my wifi especially for my Quest 3/ pc experience and was thinking either a stand alone direct link or perhaps a wifi 6e or 7 router so I saw this and (canceled my order for the direct link item)When I get this thing it even looked a little light weight nothing to it seems to weigh less than a pound.Very easy set up and then BAM... Connection to my (all premium) Laptop,tv, phone and Quest3 ....they all were changed and became much more focused, clearer and perceptively different and BETTER. As if a whole layer of grime and fuzz removed. There has tp be something to this wifi 7 and it's backwards compatabilty.I must reccomend this inexpensive piece of gear in mine or anyone's "quest" for great sound and video networking.

Old Reliable
After almost ten years my Tenda router just became obsolete while still functioning perfectly. Tried a competitor brand and had problems. Sent it back and went back to my old reliable Tenda brand. Working like a charm and might add that the router software is much more user friendly than others I've seen. Stay with what works.

BUYERS BEWARE
I've constantly been losing connection because of this router. Had the router for about 3 months now and can confidently say it's hot garbage. I've been having "troubles" with my internet since I got this. Never thought the brand new router could have been the issue especially seeings how the troubles were intermittant. I Had a tech come test my connection, which turned out fine and did a ton of troubleshooting only to come to the conclusion that this router has been having the same problem as some of the other reviewers. It seems it's a shot in the dark if you'll get a good router or a defective one.

Super Reliable, Fast, Dual Channel, for older and newer devices.
I'm not much of a tech person and can't always keep up with the constant evolution of devices due to budget constraints. When I do upgrade, I'm usually behind the times. Even if I bought something at launch, it feels like by the time I get it home and unbox it, the next version is already out. That may not be the case with this router, but it's been the story of my life.I ended up ordering the Tenda BE3600 Dual Band WiFi 7 Router (RE3L) – 3x1G Ports, Easy Setup, Security Protect, Parental Control, Access Point Mode, Vertical Design, MLO, VPN, NFC.I've had the router up and running for a few months now (since mid-May 2025), and I have to say, it's quite the beast when it comes to performance. I haven't experienced any connection or WiFi issues, though my carrier has had some service problems, which aren't the router's fault. The dual channel ensures smooth connectivity for my older devices that rely on the 2.4 GHz band, such as my WeMo WiFi SmartPlugs, Wyze Cams, and the command control module for my 5th wheel RV. The 5GHz band is essential for my newer devices.I use the app to manage the router functions, which is simple and convenient. The router itself has a sleek and modern design. Its performance has been impressive and reliable—I don't get error messages about no internet connection or experience buffering when streaming YouTube TV.This router is a great option for people who aren't highly tech-savvy but just want something that works. It's fairly priced, well-built, reliable, and fast. Setup is easy, and it delivers a quality WiFi connection that keeps working without any hassle, so I can focus on my day without worrying about losing connectivity.

excellent performance, doesn’t have 6ghz
There are quite a few routers on the market that state that they are WiFi 7 routers. Tenda is no different but I’ll let you know what I like about it and what I don’t like. Off the bat, it has excellent performance and is quite good at utilizing the 2.4ghz and the 5ghz signal together as a combined beam (MLO). It does occasionally stutter but by and large, it is quite capable. The issue is though – that not many devices can take advantage of wifi 7 in the first place. Most devices have wifi 5, 6, or 6e. Wifi 7 is just starting to catch on so unless you bought all your electronic devices this year and they all had wifi, you likely have the majority of your devices on an older wifi standard. For those devices, this is still an excellent router. It has dual band 2.4ghz for smart home stuff, and 5ghz for your bandwidth hogs. Speaking of which, it also has a 2.5 gigabits/second (which is actually 312 megabytes/second) lan port. This is for your internet connection coming in. The rest of the ethernet ports are 1 gigabit/second (which is actually 125 megabytes/second). These are standard whereas the 2.5Gbps is starting to become the norm so that is good to see. You could theoretically use the 2.5gbps port for your home server so that it can blast out your own content at really fast speeds – this is something I intend to try out soon. It claims to be able to manage 100 devices and I am currently at about 40 devices. None of them have any issues with this Tenda router. I thought I recalled that it has 512mb of memory which would help it manage all the devices but honestly, I wouldn’t go above 50-60 devices. The main issue with this router is that it does not have a 6ghz signal – and this is the only thing I don’t like about it. From what I have read, since Tenda is manufactured in China, there has not been a finalization of the 6ghz standard in China so Wifi 7 routers from China do not have this built in. Does it matter? Not really because you likely don’t have many devices that are capable of handling 6ghz signals. Okay I lied there is one more thing I don’t like about it. The app. Its useless and unnecessary. I don’t know why everything today has to have an app. Just ignore the app.
