But you can set protect profile to avoid erasing. It also has emergency recording function, which can automatically record footage and image once there is sharp turn, sudden stop or bump. The footage and picture recorded in emergency is protected from loop recording. The only concern is that it doesn't really have a night time recording mode. However, it still records well at night and if there is light you can see everything in high quality.As for the actual functionality and picture quality, this dash cam is great, especially for the price!
