Works well on larger nuts because of the higher power.
This is an exceptional tool because it is higher wattage than most reasonably priced alternatives. The lower wattage tools are O.K. for automotive use like exhaust manifold nuts. But I needed a tool for 1/2"+ nuts. To work ,you need a lot of localized heat very quickly -without naked flames ! I have oxy-acetylene equipment but on greasy/oily construction equipment it requires fire extinguishers as a precaution. It worked perfectly on a very rusty old bolt on my big Skid Steer. All the usual methods had failed. The last resort would have been a major cutting/welding project. Yes,the case is flashy and flimsy, the unit seems brittle and vulnerable but just treat it very carefully. Excellent tool.

Worked great for automotive repairs
This bolt removal tool worked for my automotive repair tasks and I love its flameless design for safety. I used it on rusted bolts during a suspension repair and I noticed it heated them in about 10 seconds allowing easy removal. I worked in a dimly lit garage and the built in light helped for better visibility. I tested it on various bolt sizes with the included coils and I found it versatile enough to handle each one without issue. I experienced no damage to surrounding components and I felt confident using it near sensitive parts like wiring. I also encountered stubborn nuts on an old exhaust system and I was impressed by how quickly the tool loosened them without a torch. I consider it a reliable addition to my toolkit and I recommend it for similar tasks.

Poor quality. Does not last.
On first use, threw a 20 Amp circuit breaker after running for 5 minutes and now the gun will not power up. Junk.
