Ordered this tea and received it ahead of when I anticipated it's arrival date. I've been enjoying it for just over two weeks now and got the tea science fine tuned for maximum benefit and flavors.Initially, tore open the package - didn't realize that there were 40 tea bags accompanied by loose leaf tea as well! This was more than I'm accustomed to encountering with various other tea companies. The packaging was well sealed and tearing open the package took me to the greenery of Thailand.I prefer the choice of loose leaf because it allows me to make light and dark tea. The taste can be custom suited - if one uses tea spoons to measure for single cups or prefer a kettle of tea. It's nice to have tea bags when I only have a minute and a half to heat up water in the mirco.I found the ideal steeping range for maximum flavor output was somewhere between a 60 seconds to 90 seconds. I found that after the water was about 165°F - continually bobing the tea steeper [or tea bag] would unlock a rich orange color. By bobing I mean continuously dipping the tea bag at a moderate rate, but not splashed water out of the cup. The steeping of this tea was very similar to that of green tea. Going too long would make this tea fade from orange to a darker green shade.When the tea water becomes a rich orange, you know that the cup is about to be delicious. When you get that orange color and enjoy a cup - you will feel focused for a decent period of time and not experience a drastic energy crash. I'd say that this loose leaf/tea bag combo is perfect for a tea connoisseur b/c it will last well almost 2 months. Great for hosting tea time after lunch with colleagues and friends. I have it shortly after lunch to keep from hitting the afternoon wall. I'd recommend this tea to anyone looking for a vibrant taste, focused energy, or curbing sugar cravings.

Tried to get refund due too it being extremely bitter. I enjoy the jiaogulan tea daily and other organic ones are great. This supplier indicated though email they put the stems in with the leaves which makes it bitter. Go with other brand and leaves only so you can steep for 5 plus minutes, have great flavor and enjoy the full benefits. Dr. J

So far there are 5 star reviews for this tea and 1 star reviews, with nothing in between. After trying it myself, I would go with the 5 star reviews. Those who complain about the bitter taste, well, good Jiaogulan is bitter. This is a health and longevity tea. I like that this is non-GMO and organic. It includes a generous pack of stevia leaves to sweeten the taste if you desire. I brew mine with Oolong tea, which helps mellow its bitterness a little, but it really is fine by itself. Compared to other Jiaugulan teas I’ve tried, this one has a very full flavor and gives a distinct energy lift. Not quite as focusing and calming as some others I’ve tried, although those effects are there with this one, but the energy bounce is what you notice the most.

I've been enjoying this tea for approximately a week. The taste is freshly natural; I've tried it with and without stevia (depending on my preferences the time). The package was a good buy, since it contains 40 tea bags and the organic stevia. The sturdy packaging allows you to compress the air out, which maintains freshness. It tastes equally good with boiling water or with water heated in the microwave. The organic Stevia is new to me, but it tastes much better then the packages from the grocery store.

I have noticed a marked difference in how I feel during my day. The old me who was excited to get the day started has returned. No jitters, no caffeine high. Taste is similar to green tea. I drink it plain no additives, though honey would be yummy in it. Great new addition to my daily health routine.

I would never order this product again it was suppose to be tea bags and it came in as raw product unusable and unreturnable don't get taken advantage of as i did at 74 years old I feel ripped off.Jack

Primarily purchased for it's Anti-Aging / Antioxidant properties as my research found Jiaogulan supports the body's defense system. In addition to the health benefits of Jiaogulan, I was pleasantly surprised by a very palatable taste / flavor. A great return for one of my stumbled upon investments.

It appears that something went haywire (!) These bags of tea, no matter how much sweetener added, were terrible, bitter, sour. It had an overpowering egregious aftertaste. Too bad. The description of organic sounded so welcoming.
