I have a narrow 10 gallon 'picture' aquarium that is very difficult to clean. I was using an aquarium hose to siphon debris but it was too fast and also sucked up gravel. This item has made my job so much easier. I can get deep into the gravel and do a better job at moving through the aquarium. My tank is much cleaner with this siphon. Simple and easy to useHighly recommend.

Works good for what it is. Pay attention to the size because the description is accurate. I wouldn't use it on anything larger than a 10 or 15 gallon tank. It is comically small for my 30 gallon aquarium. I bought the 7' long option, and will say with confidence that the 5' option would have been a mistake. Just pay attention to what you're getting.Overall, it's a good option for smaller tanks. Minus one star because it is a little overpriced in my opinion.

I've owned numerous aquariums from 2 gallon up to 55 gallon, always more than one at a time. Cleaning them has always been a pain and water changes took a lot of time. I've had several siphon tools like this but have to say this one out preformed al the others. Just two easy squeezes of the bulb and water was flowing fast. The hook that came with it turned out to be very useful in keeping the hose end in the bucket, another pesky problem solved. The tube itself isn't very big around, about half the size of others I've used, but still fits my hand comfortably and gets the job done. It did not suck up any gravel and did not suck up bigger pieces of debris but handled the small stuff as expected. At the price I paid, under $15, I'm more than pleased wth this tool.

The vacuum worked great and was very easy to use. It took out waste and debris along with water needed to do a water exchange. See before and after picture.

The product works well for my larger fish tanks but not so great for the smaller ones that are 10 gallons or less. It was easy to assemble and does not leak but it can be difficult to get water out of the tube once it is in there. So after a cleaning you may just have some nasty water sitting in the tube until next cleaning. It picks up sand well so in my tank that had sand substrate it would pick up that but not the waste because the fish waste was larger than the sand. It’s a bit difficult to clean but other than that I have no real problems with it. I would say if you have smaller fish that are not major waste producers and if you are okay losing a bit of the sand substrate (if you have sand) then this product is worth it and good for a beginner fish tank owner/keeper. But I would advise against getting it for smaller tanks because it will not work as well and may not work at all.
