Good hedge trimmer
For the price, this is a great after market hedge trimmer and l bought two of them. One fit perfectly on my Husqvarna gas trimmer with no modification. I have Echo trimmers as well (and as other users have stated) the hedge trimmer shaft does need some slimming to fit the Echo shaft. For residential use, you can't beat this product. I've also bought the pole saw attachment from this same company and it works great as well, again fitting my Husqvarna perfectly. A few things to know about the hedge trimmer: you have to keep the cutting blades lubricated during use or they will get too hot and stop working. I've found chain saw bar oil works well. More importantly is not exceeding the cutting capacity of the trimmer, which max is pencil width foilage. Doing so will bind the cutters and shut it down, so don't force it. The cutting head is equipped with grease zerks. While the unit has grease in it, l recommend adding some. Same holds true with the pole saw. I ran the hedge trimmer hard over the course of 3 days on a big job, and after figuring out the issues above, it performed flawlessly. My only con would be (as others have stated) is the weight of the cutter head. I am 6'3" and a physically fit 230 lbs, but this thing had my shoulders and biceps burning after a couple hours. Because the cutter head weight weighs more than the power head of the trimmer, it makes the machine unbalanced. This forces you to continually muscle up the cutter head. This sounds like a bigger complaint than it is because the performance outweighs any negatives, just man up and get the job done. It's just something to be aware if you're a weakling. I'm not sure of long term reliability, but it's already lasted a season and paid for itself after the first hour. This unit will likely not stand up to commercial use but for home use (as long as the tool is not abused) l highly recommend this trimmer.

Used it for cutting underwater weeds
I had been looking for an attachment so I could cut the weeds growing along the shoreline of my lakefront property. Echo had one years ago but do not make it any longer. I decided to give this a try since another buyer said it worked on his Echo PAS system. I had to make the same modifications he did and tried it out over the weekend. I have about 300' of shoreline and the weeds extended about 15' into the water. The cutter worked perfectly. After I finished, I greased it and sprayed the blades with WD40. How long it will last in this type of use is unknown. I am very pleased with it.

So pleasantly surprised
I bought this item because I have a lot of overgrowth to cut back. I have a Stihl HS-45 gas powered trimmer but as it is hand held and it would be too much bending and reaching to use. I honestly didn't know if any pole trimmer was going to do what I was going to ask anyway so I didn't want to spend $300-$500 on a Stihl or Husqvarna. I think I paid about $80 for this one. It did come in a box bearing a different brand name on it. I think it came as a "badger".I don't know how much the power head you are using comes into play but for reference, I am using this on a Ryobi Expand it power head. Obviously, my Stihl trimmer cuts thicker material with much less effort but I was pleasantly surprised how well this unit performed. I have seen reviews stating it is heavy. Well, put anything on the end of a four foot pole and it will get heavy sooner or later. It is certainly not unwieldy. I found myself cutting in 15-20 minute bursts. This was not because it was tiring to use, that's just the way my days went using it. This thing performed extremely well on weed grasses, vines and even pencil thick branches. It struggled a little with thicker stuff but did manage to cut through it.I had seen reviews stating the head gets hot after running it for a while. I haven't noticed that but I have been hitting the cutting head with WD-40 or PB Blaster before each use (like the directions say). I Do find the cutter head loosens from bar and needs to be tightened up a little. I put threadlock on it and keep an Alan key with me and haven't found it to be a real problem. Speaking of the cutting head, super easy to change the cutting position. Easy to change position 1 handed with no tools. I found myself using it much like a string trimmer cutting low to the ground by positioning the cutter head parallel to the ground. What a treat for my back.If you're a pro or super big brand loyal, of course you will have negative things to say about this product but I have been using (and abusing) this thing on my own property and on a farm with 15 years of overgrowth and creep to it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this product again in a heartbeat. It has already saved my money, my back, my time and my energy. For $80, I'll take that all day long.

Defective out of the box/no customer support
The item was easy to assemble and seems to be made of good quality material. Attaching to my Ryobi power head was easy and a good fit. Upon startup, blades did not rotate in the unit and seemed to be stuck in place. I applied more power to the hedge trimmer and the blades would barely move and would bog down my power head. The blades are well oiled and are not bent. The customer assistance site is in China and there is only has options for becoming a dealer not to get customer support.Amazon customer assistance was awesome and apologized for the issue and immediately provided me a refund for this item.

Sturdy, well built, good value
I used it on a Greenworks 80v trimmer. Works well. Cut about 150 Ft of 12 foot Hedges. No problem. For the price, you can't beat it. Oil the blades every 20 minutes or so. That's usual practice for all hedgers. It can use a quick sharpening but no complaints. So 4.5 stars.

Good find on line
The media could not be loaded. as this was available on line and a universal fit and a lot $60 cheaper than what I had on offer from the big green shed. The attachment arrived hear in Australia from the USA it looked like from Texas originally. it was a box inside a box the trimmer was in two pieces so you need a Allen key to putt head unit onto the pole. As you can see in vid it clicked into my ryobi and hole lined up ( no modification needed) The trimmer appears to be well reinforced and dose a good job cutting very happy with it and was well worth the wait getting it shipped here
