MuellerHg80 Hinged Knee Brace - Black

This Knee support is sturdy and comfortable. My thigh, just above the knee is 17.5 inches dia. - I bought the largest size and it is a snug fit. You can adjust the velcro strapping to suit. There are metal hinges, either side which provide stability to the knee. These can be removed if necessary, but also fit when wearing loose fitting trousers. The hinges are covered in Carbon Fibre sleeves to protect clothing from wear. The item was quite expensive (Hg80) but is well made and looks like it will last a few years. I am very happy with it and and it has been very useful ro slip on when needed. 10/10

Absolutely brilliant!! My husband has arthritis and regular knee flare ups and we needed something to help him be able to ski for 4 days. I'm a physiotherapist and was very impressed with the quality of the brace for the price and the support that it offered. My husband reports that it is extremely comfortable to wear and made him feel like the knee was protected. It also allows a great range of movement enabling him to ski and play tennis. He did still have some pain but he has significant knee weakness on that side and I didn't expect for it to completely go, it was however greatly reduced. An excellent buy, thank you!

I read a lot of reviews on various braces before choosing this. I am glad I did this. Have no doubts it is an excellent brace. Comfortable, sturdy and well made. The joints move well and after some time you do not realize you are wearing it. The only reason I did not give 5stars is that it does not grip very tight on the thigh and as a result it may slip. But all you have to do us pull it up again. I would strongly recommend it to anyone.

After the second time dislocating my knee this brace has allowed me to sleep soundly at last. It is strong and great. Love it so much.

This did the job to stop my knee going out and locking. I wanted the premium version which is apparently designed to stop knee locking but that one was far to right round the top of the thigh (despite trying larger and larger sizes!). This one seems to be doing the job though.

It is well worth paying a bit extra and getting this good quality support. It is very comfortable a brings real stability to the knee joint - just watch it doesn't lull you into forgetting it is only masking the symptons of your problem, and you might have a root cause that no support is going to address. Looks a little bulky but in fact is slim enough to wear under smart trousers. Just beware, it may not be permitted to actually participate in contact sports wearing this support (so okay for convalescing after an injury / knee surgery perhaps in training, but possibly not for competing again)- rugby physio's opinion, and judo will be a definite no.

First impressions were great. The brace looks fantastic and fits nice and snugly to my slightly chunky legs. The support it gives is good but i wouldn't like to test it too far.The main problem I have is that the velcro style closure is already wearing out. I have only been wearing it for a couple of weeks. Swapped the velcro to the other side so we'll see how long that lasts. On the whole for the price I'm fairly happy.

I played regular 5 a side footy ever week, and about ten years ago i had key hole surgery for a minuscule tear, and have been wearing a vulcan knee brace ever since, its the elastic bandage type,and has worked fine for a hour and half of footy, it did slip though.Last Jan 2013 i fell badly while skiing and the experts said ive snapped a cruciate ligament, i didn't want to give up on footy and skiing so after eight months out of footy, i decided to try the Mueller Hg80 Hinged knee brace,for footy and it is the most comfortable brace ive tried so far, the knee is still a bit sore, but the brace holds my knee very firmly but does not impede my playing, things are looking good and i feel confidant enough to try a skiing trip this coming season, so dont give up, try one of these, they are very affordable, and should get you back in the action.

Es muy buena para proteger ligamentos, protege bien por los laterales y da una estabilidad excelente. si tienes problemas de rotula no es la mas recomendable.

Consigliata. Leggera e pratica. Ho una LCA ricostruito ma la lassita' del ginocchio operato c'è e preferisco indossarla per fare snow in sicurezza. La vestibilita' è abbondante per cui consiglio una M per chi veste una L

suite à un accident , j'ai le genou gauche fragile , cette attelle est super efficace , le genou bouge bien et c'est confortable pour skier par exemple , je le noterais 9/10 pour cette attelle.

Bin Bergsteiger und stärke meine Kondition auf dem Hometrainer (Rudergerät und Fahrrad). Musste mich im Mai 2014 wegen Arthrose und eines abgesplitterten Innen-Knorpels am rechten Knie einer orthopädischen Operation unterziehen. Empfehlung des Operateurs: nie mehr Bergsteigen, Klettern oder Skifahren. Was tun, wenn man den Berg-Virus nicht loskriegt? Bin mit eigenen Recherchen auf die Mueller-Bandagen Hg80 gestossen. Habe nun für das rechte (operierte) Knie diese Bandage mit Gelenkstütze und prophylaktisch für das linke Knie die gleiche Bandage ohne Gelenkstütze. Bin rundum und ohne Einschränkungen mit den Bandagen zufrieden. Man spürt sie natürlich ständig auf der Haut, sie stören aber überhaupt nicht, auch wenn sie 6 und mehr Stunden getragen werden. Sie lassen sich auch leicht waschen. Ich war diesen Winter 25 Tage auf den Skiern, habe 8 Schneeschuhtouren unternommen und war in diesem Mai bereits 3 mal in den Schweizer Bergen. Noch im letzten Herbst (5 Monate nach der Operation) hatte ich bereits einfache Klettereien bewältigt. Die Bandage ist genial. Habe kaum Beschwerden während und nach den Touren. Habe die Bandagen bereits mehrfach weiter empfohlen und durchwegs sehr gute Feedbacks erhalten.

Ich habe die Bandage bestellt, nachdem ich die Diagnose "eingerissener Meniskus" erhalten habe.Zur Unterstützung des Knies bei extremen Bewegungen ist diese Bandage hervorragend.Ich nutze sie zum Skifahren (sehr sportliche Fahrweise) und habe auch nach einem langen Skitag keine Beschwerden im Knie.Sehr gute Kompression und seitliche Unterstützung.Sitz ist gut, kann mit den Klettbändern gut eingestellt werden.
