The animated prequel to the box office record-breaker "Train to Busan" and the latest from director Sang-ho Yeon, "Seoul Station" follows a man sleeping in a train station who becomes a catalyst for the pandemonium in downtown Seoul: a zombie apocalypse. The rapidly-spreading infection propels an authentic family drama, drawing mordant parallels to real-world social horrors. This DVD features surround sound, English subtitles for the deaf and hearing-impaired and the official "Seoul Station" trailer.

Beyond amazing
I purchased and viewed "Train to Busan" first, which was awesome. Then I got the sequel, "Peninsula," which was also great. Then I read about an animated prequel, "Seoul Station." I was expecting a watered-down version of the greatness of the other two live-action zombie films, but knew it'd still be good. However, I was blown away! Seoul Station was top-notch animation with spectacular background settings, scintillating characters, totally unexpected plot changes, and a brutal reality (societal, personal, and plot-wise) that doesn't pull any punches. Wow! There's no doubt in my mind that director Yeon Sang-ho is a cinematic genius. I'm going to be hunting down and purchasing his earlier works. Bravo!

Absolutely amazing!
I love the film Train to Busan, so when I found out there was an anime prequel to the film called Seoul Station, I just had to see it. To say I wasn't disappointed would be an understatement. This film is incredible on every level. The artwork and animation are just stellar, but that's not all. Sound was used in an incredibly effective way to create a mood of tension and horror. A faint scream off in the distance. A siren. A thumping sound. As much attention as they paid to making this a stellar looking film, it's really the sound that creates the atmosphere, and the excellent voice acting just sealed the deal. It's a thrilling and horrific ride as the characters do everything they possibly can to survive. I really can't recommend this one enough. If you loved Train to Busan, then you'll definitely want to add this one to your collection.

Okay, but not Train to Busan level
Watched this because I loved Train to Busan. This is not nearly as good imo but it's still a nice zombie story with some good twists. It's entirely in Korean but has English subtitles so that's fine with me but may annoy others. Animation is interesting, kind of reminds me a bit of 90's anime styles at times.Overall worth a watch.!

Cool Animated Zombie Film!!!
Really great animated zombie movie The first animated zombie movie I've seen. Never heard of any other animated zombie movies, but now I'll be looking for them. The story is not what I expected, but you only find out in the end who certain characters really are. I won't spoil it for anyone else, but I decided that since I don't like certain content in my movies, I edited it for myself and saved that copy to watch from now on. There were really only maybe two or three scenes that I omitted. Everything else was really great!

Great movie but needs better handling/casing
Seoul Station is a must own if you love Train to Busan: it is very interesting to see how rapid this universe's pandemic started. The only downside of the movie that I have is the animation. It adopts the CGI/anime hybrid style and can look leggy at times. Overall it's definitely worth getting and recommended. As for the packaging, I have no idea what happened but the disc was not in it's disc holder and the case was delivered broken and sadly now the case cannot close

Le "prequel" a train to Busan
