A seriously great device
This is a really impressive device. I stuck it to my acoustic guitar, plugged the USB stick into my computer, and was recording within a few minutes. The quality is great — much better than my on-board pickup — and the freedom to move around a bit while recording without having to worry about an external mic makes it even better. The first time I listened back to a recording I felt a genuine rush of excitement; really, it's great!I've also used it with my iPad and iPhone with zero issues. (note that you'll need to buy Apple's weirdly-named 'camera adapter' to plug it into an iOS device). 5 stars!

$200 unit and the mounting setup is a STICKY VELCRO PAD??
Total POS mounting. No way to mount this in the hole of the guitar with just the Velcro strips that came with this. For the $ this sucks! I have not even used it because I can't mount it in a place that is out of the way of my strumming. Maybe it works. Couldn't tell you.

Convenient, affordable, and sounds great!
The iSolo is pretty small but gets the job done. The USB interface plugs right into the computer/phone which makes it easy to record without any cables. The raw sound from the mic is pretty good. There's not a lot of background noise but the sound can sometimes be soft. Some simple mixing will make it sound better.Overall, it's a great mic and can easily be used at any time with its small size and simple recording process. Would recommend if you're looking for a great sounding, affordable mic!

Portability is great with easy "stick on
Recording captures the natural sound of my guitar. However, the battery dies out quickly and the volume of the recording is low. Portability is great with easy "stick on, pull off" capability. Adhesion is reliable so far.

There were no magic carpet in the package and the saddle for isolo doesn't fit my sound hole. Recording quality is decent. Would consider other options if you are willing to pay 200 bucks
