This kit supplies the combination of nutrients according to Guillard's f/2 phytoplankton growth formula in a 200mL container. Also supplied in the kit is a dry mix derived from natural seawater to provide the correct ratio of minerals, salts and trace elements found in the earth's oceans. We provide a syringe and measuring cup to accurately measure the liquid nutrients. This kit is ideal for culturing phytoplankton species such as Nannochloropsis, Nannochloris, Tetraselmis, Isochrysis, Polyphyridium, Dunaliella and many other marine species. The kit can also be used to culture freshwater or brackish species such as Chlorella by using only the liquid nutrients at the recommended levels and omitting the dry salt mixture or using less based on the requirements of the individual specie.
