Well constructed product
I have little to compare this with, but given my need to transfer files from a dead PC, I was prepared to pay more for a better made item. What I can say is that it was well constructed with all the cables and plugs carefully put together. The seperate power supply seemed to help it do what it had to do. Well presented in a box, which sound superficial and on one level it is, but it does mean I have been able to put it away neatly, in such a manner that I will still be able to find it next time I need it. Of course I will always back up now, and never need it again but...

Easier than expected to use.
Not a techie but was amazed how easy this gadget was to use and managed to save a hard-drive's contents from a PC meltdown. A little issue purchasing but the company were excellent in their approach and got this to save the day, which it did.

Saved a friend’s “bacon”!
Arrived promptly and enabled me to rescue a friend’s data, including a large number of family photographs, from the hard disk on his failed old PC. Very simple to use.

Brought for my dad. He initially brought it for something else and it didn’t fit, but he found it worked on a different hard drive.He says it works fine.

Excellent
I used this item to recover data from a 3.5" internal sata hard disk drive and from a 2.5" internal ssd. I was connected to a very old laptop, so, no issues with backwards compatability. Worked without any problems.Only need to attach the power lead for the hard disk!
