Worked for Dell Inspiron 5540. Upgraded 56 Wh to this 97 Wh unit. About 1.5 extra hours of battery life. Although I have my own bits, the included screwdrivers were appropriate size and magnetic. Much appreciated. Will update review if battery fails unexpectedly.

The batteries arrived on time. well packaged, and in good condition. ( I bought two. ) First, I want to say: It's important to "Prepare" these batteries for use! They do come with about 65% charge, but to ensure functionality, stability, and long life, you must take the initial easy steps which are outlined in the instruction sheet provided with each battery. Just after receiving my batteries, we lost power to the house, and I am very glad that I took the time to prep both batteries before use. Now prepared, I anticipate no future problems for the life of either battery. They both work very well. Highly Recommended!

It was the OEM battery, fit perfectly and instantly experienced great battery life. Works great!

It's a decent product for the price.

Just as described; a replacement battery that works well. I had a laptop that had to be plugged in to work so I bought this replacement battery. Now the laptop doesn't need to be plugged in to just turn on. Installation was easy and the battery capacity seems good.

purchased this battery for my Dell Latitude 5501 on November 20, 2025. Less than two months later, the battery is effectively dead. ​Despite treating this battery carefully (limiting charge to 80% to preserve longevity and using it for standard office work), it has degraded severely: ​Health is already at 57%: Confirmed via both Chrome OS Diagnostics and upower in Linux. ​BIOS Confirmation: The Dell BIOS flags the health as merely "Good" (degraded) rather than "Excellent," which is unacceptable for a battery this new. ​Performance: It currently discharges at a rate of nearly 1% per minute. ​I practice good battery hygiene and this unit still failed in 8 weeks. Do not buy this if you expect it to last. I regret not spending the extra money for an OEM Dell replacement.

This is the perfect replacement for my Dell Inspiron 3501 15.6-inch laptop. The previous (original) battery was down to barely 40% of its design capacity and now I have over 4 hours of power available depending on usage/load. And the included screwdriver and prying tool are most helpful!

Purchased this for my 2017 HP laptop. It would die within 5 minutes of unplugging it from the wall which turned it into a "desktop". Thought about taking it to a shop when I saw these batteries for $25. Checked out YouTube for installation instructions and went for it. It came apart fairly easily but I did find a few hidden screws. Unplugged old battery, plugged in new one and closed it up. It had some charge but followed instructions on charging. Charged up full in a little over an hour. Now will run 3-4 hours on steady and a week on and off. Now I can move it around, sit on the couch or take it with me with no problems. For me, this was a great solution to my dilemma.
