These smell like they were dried over a wood fire but none of that confess through when they are rehydrated. I only use them in herbal teas. If I were eating them as is the smell would be too off-putting but because I know how they taste when rehydrated I have no problem with them. I am on my second bag and would confidently purchase another when needed. To be fair this is the only dried longan I've used so I'm comparing them to another brand right now, but the quality is more than adequate for my needs.

Tasty I use this for my beauty tea mixed with Gogi berries and jujube dates and snow fungus together. Good quality.

It has a nice set fragrance when you open the bag. A lot of TCM recipes call for use of longan, also referred to as dragons or dragon eyes. The rate is not overwhelming in tea. Very good. Will keep buying these. The bag is not huge but the price is not bad. The coins in the image are for size comparison.

These are not freeze dried, but naturally dried. Comes in a press-and-seal bag so no need to finish in one try. Texture and looks are similar to dried plums; the taste is similar to Asian plum candy, with a light sweet side resembling longan. Has a MFG date 10 days from date of order, and a year expiration date from MFG. Does have a fresh longan aftertaste, which may feel weird initially. At $7 for 3.5oz, these are great if you like the taste of Asian fruit snacks.

This tastes dried at first and chewy but once you moisturize it a bit with your mouth, it becomes like the real thing. The flavors are an explosion of sweetness that is addicting. These are naturally dried rather than freeze-dried. There's no need to complete in a single attempt because it comes in a press-and-seal bag. The taste is comparable to Asian plum sweets, with a hint of sweetness reminiscent of longan.

its gross to me..i like it fresh and from the can but this is a thumbs down for me.
