Complete Piano Sonatas, Vol. 2: Hoboken Nos. 30-52

This is a good edition. As it says on the back, it is "for serious pianists, students and music-lovers in general." I consider myself a serious pianist, and am happy with this purchase. The printing is not outstanding, but not bad either. My only complaint with this product is that it is an impractical height. It is just under 1 cm taller than all my other piano books, and have to have the upper shelf of by bookcase raised to the next adjustable height just to fit this book. It also does not fit in the bag that I normally use to carry books. But on the whole, this is a good addition to any music library.

The Dover editions are good editions if you don't want to spend a lot of money. I used to own the Peters edition, but no longer do and as I was rebuilding my score collection could not afford the Peters again. I bought book 1 of the Dover edition last year and was very happy with it, so this year, I bought bk 2. And the Haydn Sonatas are so wonderful! Not as long and intricate as Mozart and Haydn's humor comes through, which makes many of these lovely sonatas quite a joy to play and quick to learn.

There are two volumes of this collection of Haydn piano sonatas. These are charming pieces, not too difficult and very enjoyable. Haydn composes in a wide variety of styles. He is always experuimenting. As one plays through this collection one sees the evolution and maturation of one of the world's greatest composers. Though these sonatas appear to be "small," they show the thinking of bigger comcepts, i.e symphonies, quartets, etc. Extemely rewarding and enjoyable to play! The printing is legible and the paper quality is very good.

I must say, I was blown away by Volume I, so purchased Volume II. Although, I don't prefer these sonatas as a whole, it is still wonderful music and fun to explore.

A little disappointed...But the price was okay.

Believe the title read Like New - there are markings in the some pages (light) and the cover looks slightly used

The collection of Sonatas is wonderful but I really don’t like this type of binding in a music book. I have to wrestle and press and coax to get the pages to stay open so that I can turn pages for playing smoothly through the songs.

O motivo da minha nota são pequenos defeitos de impressão mas nada que atrapalhe a leitura e a brochura do livro dificulta que o livro fique aberto na estante do piano... no meu caso eu gosto sempre de tirar o xerox da partitura e deixar o livro limpinho mas se eu quiser somente experimentar o inicio da leitura pode ser meio irritante.Tirando isso o livro é bem feito, qualidade das páginas é ótimo e a edição é Breitkopf & Härtel muito boa e confiável!

El libro ha llegado en pésimas condiciones, mojado y por lo tanto deformado. No lo devuelvo porque lo necesito, pero no volveré a comprar más.Lo tengo con papel secante a ver si con digo mejorarlo.

L'ho acquistato proprio perché mi serviva per completare la serie di sonate per pianoforte del compositore austriaco Joseph Haydn. Ottimo libro. Consigliato.
