Her Name Was Lisa

I remember seeing a still from HER NAME IS LISA in SCREW magazine in which Samantha Fox was raping a man with a strap-on with Vanessa Del Rio holding him down, and thought "WOW! This looks interesting". Unfortunately flat lighting does not serve scenes of sensual erotism very well: Everyblemish and razor bump is visible, but black leather female domination episodes mostly compensate for this shortcoming: Vanessa Del Rio is a knock out in this department, but disturbing plot twist of having her character addicting Lisa to the needle, and ultimately her death, came out of left field and wasn't the sort of element I would ever want to see repeated. Vanessa has an incredible zoftig figure, but some great visual opportunities were missed by the cameraman or director. A discussion of director Roger Watkin's work by the film-geek editor of a zine called Ultra Violent [or something like that] was enjoyable. Watkins also directed a cheesy horror film called LAST HOUSE ON DEAD END STREET. It made me wish I could see his last triple X feature, AMERICAN BABYLON, but that isn't available, and the earlier CORRUPTION with Jamie Gillis, is also on blu-ray but too expensive so I won't be exploring this genre any further

I initially appreciated turning an adult film into more of a movie with the typical hardcore elements, but the dark turn (not to foreign to the real industry) combined with the minimalist role of del Rio was a dud for me, as she was the main reason I acquired it. Will likely give this away.

同じ映画をDVDとブルーレイディスクにしたコンボキットです。映画は1979年に米国で公開され日本では未公開です。どちらもリージョンオールで日本製の機器でも視聴可能です。全編再生とチャプター再生が可能で特典として暴力系雑誌の記者へのインタビュー、静止画像、劇場用予告映像が入っています。内容；26歳の女性リサ（サマンサ　フォックス）がヘロインの過剰摂取で死んでいるのが発見され、その葬儀にリサの破滅に関与した人間が集まります。最初に写真家のポール。マッサージパーラーで働くリサをモデルとして使い、良心の呵責に苦しめられるもののリサを編集者のステファン　スウィートに紹介し、ステファンは自分の性的嗜好に沿ってリサを堕落させてゆき、そこに謎の女カーメン（ヴァネッサ　デル　リオ）が加わりリサにヘロインを教えてゆく・・、その様な回想が続き棺の蓋が閉じられて話は終了します。他に俳優でステファンの要求でリサを乱暴するドーピィー役にランディ　ウェスト、同じくドク役でボビー　アスタイア（何故かフォックスとの共演ではフォックスをいじめる役が多いのですが、実生活では2002年にアスタィアが肺癌で亡くなるまで近所付き合いをする程仲良しだったそうです）が有名な俳優です。葬儀での回想ネタと言う処ではアンソニー　スピネリの「Cry for Cindy」と似ており陰鬱な展開で私は好きになれませんでしたが、それでもハードコアシーンには一定の需要があると考えこの評価にします。
