White Clover Seeds.?
I was very thrilled at first.. These seeds will grow very easily, minimal preparation of the ground.... Pretty much just scratch up the ground, spread the seeds and water, and they sprout fast, in about two days.... Well, its been over a month now, we're in early spring, with good general rain about every 3-4 days and yet, they are hardly an inch tall, if even that.... they dont seem to want to grow any taller, yet the ground stays moist, but no apparent further growth anywhere....its almost like they never mature but just stay tiny sprouts.. As I look, I'm surprised by finding that these plants don't really look like clover either, not even remotely like the photo on the site here. I have white clover in my yard in many areas.... tall bushy, fast growing, but the sprouts of this seed remind me of the tiny green sprouts that spring up in muddy swampy backwater areas and cover the ground once the water recedes... My suggestion is, if you wanting something that's going to grow, cover the ground and fill in thick and heavy, look elsewhere... Furthermore, I walk outside and check the progress of this stuff daily and am finding that it just won't grow and get taller than an inch or so, I am increasingly bewildered and ultimately disappointed.. I have absolutely no idea what this stuff is, the bag is of grey seed like others have shown.. total mystery... I will update. Off to Lowes for me...UPDATE: It's clover.... every single seed.. everywhere I threw it and watered it, it grew... it stars out as a single leaf seedling, but grows to a clover.. growing good all over the yard..

Grows in my sand pit!!! Germinated in 2 days!
We rent. I do not want to invest a lot of money in a yard I do not own. However the backyard is an atrocious sand pit that gets tracked in by kids and dogs and husband. It has driven me absolutely bonkers the last 3 years we have lived here. So I researched for anything that would grow in such a harsh environment and improve the soil at the same time. I have been composting for the last three years so I have a sizable pile in the back corner. So my first experiment, I spread a buckets worth over a 5’x5’ area(heinously thin distribution) and covered it with a tarp to maximize moisture and heat. And in two days I saw sprouts. So pumped! I don’t write reviews often but if anyone out there is in the same boat as me. There is hope!

Grew in places I could never get grass to grow! Great ground cover
The whole reason I purchased these clover seeds was for ground cover in areas that grass simply wouldn't grow in my yard. I spent hundreds of dollars over the last few years trying to buy different grass seed (brands and types) and none of them lasted or really took hold. These clover seeds have lasted longer than any bermuda or fescue seeds I tried. Also, in the deepest/hottest part of the summer, I stopped watering the yard since it was pointless and everything was drying out and dying (including these clovers). However, when the rains returned and the temps came back down, the clover bounced back from the dead and rejuvenated everywhere I spread it. That tells me these little seeds are very capable of outlasting the harshness of my climate and yard conditions. I will buy more of these for EVERY spot I have that needs ground cover from here on out - never wasting money on grass seed again!I've re-purchased this same seed twice now and will buy again.

Not easy to grow
Dutch white clover has done an excellent job of seeding itself in my lawn with no help from me, and in year's past, I've used herbicides to get rid of it, but stopped when I decided to be more environmentally conscious. I'm known to have a green thumb, so I believed that I could spread these seeds in my lawn to increase the ratio of clover to grass. We wanted to increase food sources for our local bee population.I received the bag of seeds in March, and waited until risk of frost was over for the season before spreading part of the bag in a test section of the yard which is LOW traffic and full sun. NONE of it sprouted. I tried more seed in this area, covering it with a light layer of shredded leaves from last year's droppings. Nothing sprouted. Next I tried mixing the seed with black garden soil and spread it NOTHING.Most of the reviews here are positive, so I might be doing something wrong. We've been dealing with another summer of drier weather, so this could be a factor. With what's left of the bag, I'll simply spread it around the rest of the lawn for fall seeding and hope that it comes up.Clover seed is expensive, and I purchased this one due to its affordability. Not sure if I made the right choice. Lower price can indicate lower quality, but do not know what is true in this case.Next year I will try again, but maybe with another brand.

clover is welcome in my lawn!
I know many folks want to know how to get rid of clover in their lawn -- but when I decided to put in a new lawn this year, 1/3 of the seed would be clover seed. Many don't consider that although their yard may not look as pristine with white flowers growing in it, clover not only is good for the grass and soil - but those flowers are also beneficial for pollinators (but, yes, with kids playing in the yard, you may not want that).I had been struggling to get any new grass to grow in my small, densely shaded yard for many years - so this year I decided it was time to 'start from scratch'. After rototilling the old lawn under and adding peat moss and other nutrients, I sowed in 2 types of grass and 1 bag of clover seed - covered it all with hay and watered daily. The clover actually germinated the quickest - in less than 10 days -- and was the most prolific compared to the grass seed (although all have grown in now - but it does appear that the success rate is in the clover's court). I suspect that the dense shade will eventually negatively impact the grass in time -- but, hopefully, the clover will persevere!
