move along
First of all , this is NOT one lb. It is 6 oz. weighed. Also, not 100% clover seed. 10 percent "weed" seed in mix. Skip this one, you can get better elsewhere.

I thought clover was supposed to pretty much just lay there
But this crimson stuff is raring to go, pushing several inches and starting to flower here in early summer. I wasn't sure it would even establish here in competition with the native grasses, in fact I had my money on the grasses to choke it out. But it is putting up a good fight and the animals (birds, bugs, foxes) love it. It smells nice and feels good underfoot. I'm encouraged and will overseed again in a year even though it may not need it. I had sown both white and crimson clover. The white is pretty good at covering bare ground but crimson is the rambunctious, more robust one ready to take on all comers. It's nice stuff!

Excellent seed
Okay I had my doubts if this would actually germinate especially here in Florida but I put it down and watered daily, then the weekend came with plenty of rain the next day tiny green sprouts appeared all over...now we are on day 6 and they are growing happily. My kids think its going to look like Ireland in the backyard and just in time for St Pats. I would recommend this product.

Infested with maggot eggs!
DO NOT BUY! INFESTED WITH MAGGOT EGGS! These maggots are not local to my area of texas, and i used local soil in a container inside my house. We have to burn every bit of the soil and plants as these are not local and will devisate the local crops if allowed to live.

They grow great!
I planted these in late November near Corsicana, Texas. I put them in my raised beds and I'm going to see if they help with the weed/grass problem in the spring. But, I can say that they sprouted in just a few days. I couldn't believe it. I have a nice carpet of clover in my raised beds.Overall, I feel like I will do this every year, even if the benefit is minimal. The cost is so low, it can't hurt.

no fault but my own first planting I did was too early in the season. The second time around however, the seeds sprouted up beautifully. I needed clover on the side of my house since my drain pipe from my roof makes that section hard to mow. It was a perfect solution to not having a barren dirt pile on that side. I will buy again.

Environmental change
While writing an article for St Patrick's Day, I ran across several articles that raved about clover as a replacement for lawn grass. It's a bit too early for me to spread the seed, but I look forward to the red clover taking over.

Bag of seeds had slashes dispersing seeds, order not completed.
This bag of seeds along with the white clover seed both had slashes in the bags and the seeds where all over inside the box putting dents in the hard cover book meant for a gift. Lost about 15-20 % of seeds. Received only 2 of the 3 bags of seeds.
