Good quality build that feels solid and behaves well. The blade is robust and the battery has sufficient power for most tidying tasks in the garden. It is impossible to run this without using both hands as both handles have a switch attached that must be depressed for the blade to activate. While that might be a common feature on these tools, I've found a few that don't behave themselves. The tool comes with a battery charger that charges the battery in slightly over an hour, which is quite acceptable and plenty of time for a cup of tea.Some assembly is required when this arrives. The shield in front of the second grip needs to be fitted and secured with two screws, and the second (large) handle also needs to be fitted and secured with two screws. This took a couple of minutes. The instructions are not clear for this, but if you study the diagrams in the user guide and carefully study the trimmer, it is pretty obvious how it all fits together.So far it has worked perfectly on the light jobs we've used this for - trimming one boundary hedge and several shrubs around the garden. If you have a lot of work to do, I would suggest going for one of the electric or petrol trimmers, the 18v battery on this one isn't meaty enough to manage large or heavy tasks and you will get frustrated with the battery draining. For light work and keeping things tidy though, this is perfect. No annoying cables, no loud petrol motors, no fumes. Plus, it's light enough that you can work with this at several angles without getting overly tired or strained.

I have just received my eSkde18v hedge cutter,It is a great price of kit sturdy and light, i charged the battery just to try it, and yes, this is the one for me, feels very gutsy and this will definitely do for me.I have a very long hedge and cannot see a problem,for this battery.I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO ADD, i have received this item AWAY BEFORE it's delivery date, the customer service, relations and ease to deal with this company WAS FANTASTIC,I cannot recommend this product and company highly enough, just a great combinationWELL DONE, BEST PRICE HOT DEALS LIMITED 10/10

I used to cut me hedge once a year with a friend hiring in one regular and one long reach petrol powered hedge trimmer. Cutting all the hedges would take us 8-9hrs, which is hard work if you haven't trained for this action since last year.I was sceptical about the limited battery charge as it might frustrate me by leaving the job undone, but the effect has been quite the opposite. Knowing that I only have a short time to cut has has revolutionised my hedge cutting experience.It is hard to find the one day a year when the rain will hold off and I'll have capacity to cut and clear all the hedges. However, it is easy to find 45minutes here and there to cut one face of a hedge and clear it up as you go. There are only two faces in our garden which take more than 30 minutes to cut, so now that all the hedges are neat I will be able to stay on top of the whole garden by cutting a face every week during the cutting season.I could even go wild and cut each face twice a year like the gardeners recommend.Who knew you could get this excited about hedge trimming?Oh, and the product works just fine...

The trimmer exceeds my expectations and is fully recommended. A nice safety feature is the auto-brake which cuts in immediately if you try to overdo it on, say, bushes. That said, it will happily handle branches up to 8-10mm so is much more than a 'hedge trimmer'. Excellent value.Just one point to note - the cable from the mains charger adaptor plugs into the charger station (i.e. it's not wired in), so be careful when you pull out the plug as it's not very robust. In my case the small plug came adrift from the wire. Entirely my fault but the replacement I bought from Best Price Hot Deals through Amazon Marketplace was delivered within 36 hours. An excellent purchase at a really competitive price. Fairly easy to put together and sort the battery charging out. Swift delivery meant I was able to trim shrubs earlier than I had hoped. The Trimmer is easy to use and I am very impressed with the results.

I purchased this in June 2018. I have used it around four times - for light trimming of a hebe bush. It has now stopped working. Nothing more need be said.

Have to charge the battery 3 times over the advised 5h to cut a 6m long edge. An extra battery is £35. Will get another one with a better battery instead..

Light weight and easy to use. Got carried away with it and think i trimmed everything in sight! Downside was I had then to clear it all up. Good product easy to use and assmble.
